This person will be responsible for auditing and seeking refunds from Landlords for Property Service Charges. You will follow established departmental procedures and recommend improvements to further increase savings. You will works with Real Estate, Rent Accounting, and Centre colleagues to obtain the necessary lease/building specific information to complete the audit. You will interact directly with Landlords, requesting documentation and assertively seeking refunds for any overcharges while maintaining a positive relationship.
This position can be based anywhere in Europe.
Receive Landlord operating expense invoices, compare against lease documents, accounting reports and centre-provided information. Document errors & work to resolve directly with Landlord’s representative.
Input line-item detail onto annual trend reports, gross-up calculation spreadsheets to verify accuracy of billings.
Track centre audit files in an organized manner, reporting progress on a monthly basis to Team Lead.
Works in accounting system to retrieve necessary documentation for audit including finance reporting.
Perform audit within audit window, including daily/weekly communication with Landlords, phone calls/conference calls, e-mails and written correspondence.
Assists with the implementation and development of new audit programs.
Uses good interpersonal and communication skills, with emphasis on persuasiveness and negotiations to collect data/claims.
Upload into lease database the final audit documentation including original invoice, written & e-mail correspondence, corrected invoice/statement if applicable
Works on multiple audit claims simultaneously, prioritize, follow-up and bring projects to conclusion.
Attention to detail and accuracy, with strong analytical skills and with a true sense of urgency.

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Seeking prior Building or Property Manager experience, including preparing property service charge reconciliation/operating expenses/CAM reconciliation.
Previous experience of working with real estate leases, able to interpret legal lease language.
Experience in preparing property service charge/operating expense reconciliations.
Strong organizational, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy, with strong analytical skills.
Multi-tasking skills and ability to change priorities/duties a must.
Lease finance systems experience preferred.
Must speak English, Dutch and ideally German fluently and any other languages would be advantageous.
