Lacent is a sister company of Wehkamp and part of the RFS Holding/Wehkamp Group. Lacent is known under the brand name Tinka.
We are a financial services provider in Point-of-Sale financing solutions like invoice and credit. Till 2018 all services were exclusively distributed in the Wehkamp group to consumers shopping at Wehkamp. In 2019 we started to offer the services to other Retailers, with BCC as a first new customer in February 2019.
Tinka operates in a dynamic environment. We have a long history of 50 years+ for providing customer credit, with a track record in responsible credit scoring over the last years. We are fascinated by the current developments and opportunities in technology and data especially when applied to the financial services industry, transforming ourselves into a full FinTech operation.
Our way of working is data-driven, collaborative and focused on the consumer journey. We understand our responsibility towards our current and new consumers as well as merchants and our social responsibility towards them and to society as a whole. We operate under a registered license granted by the Dutch financial regulator AFM and have to comply with their rules, Wft regulations and relevant codes of conduct.
Our customers are retail companies in the Netherlands. Our product portfolio needs to support our vision to innovate the world's most loved, responsible & transparent (deferred) payment & account options.
As a Lead Sales & Account Manager Netherlands, you will be responsible to identify and acquire new merchants in the Netherlands for our rapidly expanding range of credit products. You and your team will also be their liaison, once they are on board, to drive a continuous increase in sales with existing customers.
You have held a lead or management position for sales or account management in the payment services or agency industry before and have a good network to key decision makers in the Netherlands for adapting a new payment service in retail companies.
What should you have and bring?
Motivate and energize the sales team;
Demonstrated capability to create and communicate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals and ensure C-level executives know the progress towards those goals;
Demonstrated capability to work with C-level executives to support large merchant business development and strategy;
Demonstrated capability to develop and execute strategic account management plans to drive an increase in credit sales through promotion, flow improvement, marketing and other opportunities;
Prepare sales reports and sign off on their accuracy before submitting them;
Assess the competitive landscape and institute changes to the sales program in response to competitor changes and industry standards;
Establish a referral network with local businesses and find opportunities to maximize value from those connections;
Implement a sales training and orientation program to educate new hires as the company grows.
In this job, you report directly to the CEO of Tinka and have an option to develop into an International Sales Lead as we expand our territorial product offering. You will lead a small team of dedicated and committed sales and account management experts.
HBO/Bachelor or Academic background, preferably Business/Finance related;
5-7 years of experience in leading B2B sale and/or account management teams in the payment services sector in the Netherlands;
Strong skills in written and verbal communication and a proven track record of presenting to C Level executives, in both English and Dutch;
Successful character description would be: passionate, driven, eager to score, devoted and energetic;
Great communication skills, able to win people’s commitment and buy-in;
Skilled negotiator, able to build and leverage relationships at senior levels;
Detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, with an understanding of sales and the sales process.
