The Lead Motion Designer works together with creative teams and designers to identify motion design opportunities on assigned clients and potential new business, as well as concepting and executing motion for all agency projects to bring a strong expert quality to all work.
Works closely with the creative directors and digital strategists to understand client’s and creative’s goals for each individual project in order to identify motion design opportunities, protect best design practice, and offer solutions when and as needed.
Provides both a creative and technical design point of view and communicates it to the creative team; creates multiple creative solutions for a given brief .
Takes a leadership role when working or presenting motion work to creative team or client.
Works closely with the creative teams to bring concept to life visually by way of research, examples, advice and creative exploration.
Manages content creation as an art director, and leads the content and motion/animation portion of a larger integrated campaign as required.
Manages the creative expectation throughout post production, providing solutions for final deliverables
Leads brand motion design and proposes branding ideas and prepares global guidelines.
Designs and executes Social Content, DOOH, In-store, Campaign Toolkits, Brand in motion principles, TV Film Titles and Graphics; creates motion and content extensions for campaigns as requested.
Communicates daily with the studio director, to assist with management of internal and external motion design resources, and identify design opportunities and team member project allocation.
Offers motion direction, guidance and mentorship to more junior members of the motion team, as well as members of other departments offering advice, assistance and identifying opportunities for growth.
Assist in identifying new talent for collaboration or introduce references and motion tips, tricks and trends.
Keeps abreast of the latest online and digital media trends, competitive analysis and the ever changing consumer experience.
Must be able to use appropriate terminologies and language to accurately brief and direct concept, production or design-related requests.
Ability to work independently, in a team, or as a team leader to see projects through to the end. Ability to interact and collaborate with other departments within the agency to solve problems.

Exceptional initiative and follow-through skill
7+ years motion design experience in relevant industry.
Great design sense and understanding of graphic design, typography and brand design. Solid After Effects abilities, with a broad range of stylistic capabilities.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite products (Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat).
Knowledge of Cinema 4D or other 3D software, a plus.
Working knowledge of Keynote and Google Slides is desired
