    Lead, Central Operations (Electrification)

    About the Role

    Uber has commited to become a 100% electric platform in London & Amsterdam, and 50% electric across seven major European capitals by 2025 (external commitment). This is a key step on our journey to be fully electric in major US, Canadian, and European cities by 2030. These are very ambitious goals, and hitting them goals would put us a decade ahead of Paris Climate Agreement targets!

    This is a unique opportunity to get in the ground floor to be part of the team which will manage, grow and fulfill our electrification commitments in Europe, including meeting these EV targets, reporting publicly on improvements in CO2 emissions per kilometre driven and expanding sustainable options like Uber Green!

    What you'll do

    • You will work closely with the EMEA electrification lead, the teams on the ground in each European country and our business development teams in EMEA to build execute plans to reduce driver TCO.
    • You will be responsible for reducing driver TCO by ensuring drivers have access to the right vehicles and the right vehicle charging solutions to make switching economically viable. You will work closely with our business development teams to build our partnership strategy, developing innovative deal structures, and you will support partnership discussions and successful implementation.

    What you'll need

    • 8+ years of proven experience in automotive partnerships or ecosystem development, with preferred background in strategy, business operations, consulting and project/program management.
    • Excellent planning and organization skills; ability to bring structure to and lead large multi-stakeholder groups.
    • Strong communication and comfortable sharing information formally or informally with senior audiences. Able to articulate a clear vision and areas of strategic focus.
    • Comfortable project managing the rollout of large initiatives across the region which require cross-functional collaboration across operations, product, cities, marketing, legal and tax
    • Data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgment through excellent analytical thinking. Experience in manipulation of data sets and data interpretation.
    • Critical thinking and master problem solver; develops new frameworks for complex problems where no standards exist today and engages other specialists for feedback and integrates it effectively. Ability to assess automotive partners from technological, business and strategic standpoints and to make recommendations on creative business models and structures
    • Experience with identifying, building and improving operational processes.
    • You hold an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
