    Last Mile Operations Associate - Workforce Planning and Payments

    We are looking for a dynamic individual to build and manage a team who will own the scheduling of our ever growing fleet of NL Riders, and ensure that they are kept happy, engaged and loyal to Zapp by ensuring that their shifts are scheduled well and payments are on time and accurate. In close collaboration with Rider Recruiting, BI and Finance teams, you will be the meticulous expert of our evolving demand curve and rider shift shapes. Based on your deep knowledge of our efficiencies, you will ensure that each store always has enough riders to guarantee that we can deliver an amazing customer experience while keeping our delivery costs in line.


    Responsibilities

    • Work with Operations and BI to develop the first cut of rider schedules for each store, then make adjustments based on your close-to-the-ground expertise
    • Release shift schedules regularly, punctually and accurately
    • Work closely with Location Managers to ensure that all shift schedules are filled and propose solutions to ensure shift coverage as needed e.g. rider incentives, external sources of riders
    • Evaluate completed shifts on a daily basis and ensure that all rider hours worked are accounted for
    • Manage any scheduling issues that arise, for example collaborating with the Rider LiveOps team to transfer riders between hubs when needed and ensuring that shift plans are up to date for accurate reporting and payments
    • Capture, translate and calculate rider payments – with regular tests of different rider incentives – to ensure that riders are paid on time and accurately
    • Foster a strong spirit of collaboration with riders, store managers, Rider LiveOps, BI and Finance

    Requirements

    • Degree from a top university
    • Proficient in Excel
    • Highly numerate and proven analytical skills – attention to detail is key
    • Ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision while working remotely
    • Proven experience of building out a team with different skillsets is a plus
    • Extremely strong interpersonal skills evidenced in previous work experience or extracurricular activities
    • Willingness to learn and ability to work proactively
    • Previous experience with shift scheduling tools is a huge plus
    • Previous experience with workforce planning fast moving high volume shift-based industry e.g. last mile delivery, retail, hotel, restaurants, airlines etc.
