    Key Accountmanager

    Key Accountmanager

    The purpose of this job is to drive confectionary sales via independent wholesalers (e.g. Langerak de Jong) and members of wholesale headquarters (e.g. Kreko as member of VHC). The headquarters are the responsibility of the national account managers Trade.

    The portfolio responsibility is highly varied: 30+ locations of national accounts, 10 independent wholesalers and 200+ other independent outlets. You are responsible for the plan implementation of the headquarters at its members, drives sales in all possible ways by activating the independent wholesalers and informing the accounts about the channel plans. Further, you are also responsible for new business initiatives, as you are the go-to person for possible new vendors. Building relationships, seeing new opportunities and drive for result are part of your DNA! You will work closely together with the other account- and channel managers out-of-home and will cooperate with the other sales teams, customer marketing, finance and supply.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for P&L of various wholesale accounts
    • Co-develop and implement the yearly wholesale sales strategy, sales concepts, and activities specifically tailored at the selected wholesaler, by analyzing Mars NL business at the accounts according to account KPI's, drawing conclusions and acting upon those conclusions. The main challenge is to make sure that the wholesaler helps us to grow Mars business at the end customers
    • Financial Management: periodical update of P&L of relevant customers, focus is NSV and MMAC but also on keeping track on sales costs (annual, trade promo, other trade, folder) in collaboration with Finance and Account Support.
    • Strategic Management: support expected in setting up annual account plans in June. Strategic approach with Trade Team how to optimize channels within the out-of-home channel in alignment with trade team, channel team & line managers. Starting point is the collaborative out-of-home strategy 2025.


    What are we looking for?

    • HBO+/WO
    • Fluent in Dutch and English both in speaking and writing
    • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook)
    • At least 2 years of commercial experience, preferably in a FMCG environment
    • Good communication skills (verbally & written)
    • (High) Potential and ambition to grow within the division
    • Motivating others, Negotiating, Managing Vision & Purpose and Dealing with ambiguity
