Unilever is proud of its Tea business, the biggest in the world, with world class purpose driven brands such as Lipton, PG tips and Pukka. Recently, Unilever decided to separate the Tea business to ensure it can best achieve its potential. Unilever is currently reviewing several options for separation, including a demerger, an initial public offering, a disposal or through partnership models. The Tea businesses in India and Indonesia, and the partnership interests in the ready-to-drink Tea joint ventures will be retained.
The balance of the Tea brands and geographies and all Tea estates, with generated revenues of €2 billion in 2019, is growing and profitable with proven potential both pre- and post-COVID-19. As a standalone entity, the Tea company remains number one in the world and is even better positioned to lead the industry and take full advantage of the opportunities in the category, with more focus and entrepreneurship driving greater growth and value.

The Key Account Manager NL is responsible for the full Tea portfolio for all retail customers in the Netherlands. You will be reporting into the general manager of the Benelux.
You are accountable for generating USG growth in a profitable way. Main job purpose is to build relationships with current and new customers and implement the account strategy with focus on differentiation and accelerated growth, in conjunction with Marketing, Finance manager, Supply Chain and the General Manager.
On an annual basis you will negotiate contracts with all individual retailers, Superunie headquarters, AS Watson etc. As member of the BNX Sales team, you will co-develop and implement the Account Strategy.
You are part of the Benelux Sales Office and together with the general manager, KAM Belgium, KAM foodsolutions, sales assistant and e-com+trade marketing manager responsible for delivering the growth plan and P&L for the Benelux.
Your Key Tasks:
Develop the customer strategic business plan. Work out a joint customer business plan for Tea through an omnichannel lens.
Develop optimal integrated promo plan (incl. selling the plan at the customer) and manage promo investment budgets.
Manage the customer P&L for Tea portfolio and for your respective categories.
Deliver the agreed plan, follow-up achievement of counterparts set in the agreement.
Close the deal with the Customer by negotiating the trade terms, trade funding, and counterparts according to the strategy on Tea
Manage overall levels of Customer Investments for your Tea
Monitor Customer Performance by tracking customer contribution and market share for Tea
Act as active ambassador of Tea at the customer and of the customer at TeaCo

Skills and Experience
Minimum relevant professional experience of 5 years is required
Experience as Key Account Manager is a must (preferably in FMCG)
All standards of leadership - especially Bias for Action (can do and action/no debate mentality) and Accountability and Responsibility (performance driven leadership, high delivery standards, courage)
Able to work in cross functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance)
Strong consumer and customer focus / strong at customer contact
Good negotiator: able to influence, also in informal decision structures
A person that easily connects, loves to embark on consulting assignments and has high energy levels
External Orientation (look outside; be innovative and creative) and Entrepreneurial drive
Fluency in Dutch is a must - dealing with Dutch clients and stakeholder
Must be a able to speak English in a business context due to international stakeholders
