    Key Accountmanager new business

    Do you have a healthy dose of guts, passion and commercial talent to further expand (new) customers and markets in- and outside Europe for Grodan? You are passionate about traveling and making acquisitions and enthusing customers feels like second nature to you!

    Grodan was at the basis of sustainable greenhouse horticulture by making it possible to grow on stone wool. Today we are the market leader and we are continuously developing new solutions so that our customers can grow in the most efficient and sustainable way. The goal is for our customers to optimize their cultivation while making less use of valuable resources such as water, space and nutrients, we call this Precision Growing. Recently, we also started to further develop the international market for a new and upcoming crop. In this specific section you will play an important role as a Key Accountmanager. We continue to innovate!

    Your challenge

    As a Key Accountmanager New Business within Grodan you will mainly focus on appealing to and expanding our customer portfolio in a new and upcoming crop. You actively approach this emerging market segment and are responsible for the commercial approach to the market.

    You are regularly on the road in- and outside Europe (50-60%) to customers, prospects and dealers and you actively work together with a technical crop specialist. Together you strengthen our position in this market and you are responsible for the further growth of this strongly emerging market segment. You build up a strong network within the sector in which you positively represent Grodan as a Key Accountmanager and you are able to offer a total package to the market for both our products and services. You know our market best and keep a close eye on our competitors. As an expert you keep your knowledge at a high level by regularly attending knowledge sessions, fairs, etc. in order to continue to provide our customers with the best service now, but certainly in the future!

    When you are not on the road, you work from home or a location that is comfortable for you where you log your administration and sales activities. Our head office is in Roermond, where you are present about once a month for consultations and to seek cooperation with colleagues.

    • Further unlock the large business opportunities for Grodan in an emerging market segment. Understand and learn on the market needs of this relative new crop for Grodan and relate this to Grodan’s route to market.
    • Manage and deliver on the sales objectives defined in the Business Development plan and create and execute the international sales plan.
    • Manage a portfolio of customers ranging from key account type customers headquartered in North America to small entrepreneurial start-ups to distributors. You can communicate at all levels in the organization from the grower to management level.
    • Sell the company's products and services using technical, organizational, and customer/market knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs resulting in revenue generation
    • Keep market, company, and technical knowledge updated and give proactive feedback to the company regarding new developments, such as impending threats and opportunities
    • Contribute towards a variety of projects, trade shows, internal workshops and other initiatives
    • Cooperate with local area marketing for effective marketing and closely cooperate with business support to further build cultivation advice for the crop.

    Your profile

    You are proactive, curious and show initiative while you keep looking for opportunities for yourself and our organization to grow further. You have strong negotiating skills; you are enterprising, and you know how to convert the questions from our customers / prospects into a solution with a healthy dose of persuasiveness. You have strategic thinking skills and can write strategic plans.

    • A completed bachelor’s degree in the "green direction"
    • 5+ years commercial experience in the green industry
    • Excellent oral and written command of the English language.
