We are looking for a highly motivated Junior Scientist to strengthen our efforts in exploring creative and novel approaches in the vectorized antibody field. The vectorized antibody (vAb) Group has two functions and responsibilities (a) getting a better understanding of immunological aspects related to vAb-based gene therapy, and (b) exploring new technologies and/or targets with immunological background. Together with the Senior vAb Scientist, the Junior Scientist will also participate in the discussion of novel and ongoing projects, support the coordination and delegation of the research to other departments and institutions.
Design and perform in silico and in vitro experimental procedures related to vectorized antibodies and targets with immunological background.
It is expected the role will entail approximately 70% lab-based work and 30% scientific and project managerial functions.
Provide deep molecular understanding of antibody-antigen binding
Explore and propose novel technological approaches to engage immune-mediated mechanisms
Processing and analyzing results and data
Design and documentation of studies
Keeping up with the scientific literature in this field, visiting scientific meetings and integrating the information in the project
You hold a master’s degree in molecular biology, protein chemistry or an antibody related field with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience or a finalized/fresh PhD trained within the field of Antibody Engineering/Biotechnology, Antibody Discovery, Immunology, Structural biology, Molecular biology, or related discipline.
Hands-on experience with a range of antibody and/or protein binding biochemical/biophysical assays (e.g. Western Blots, ELISAs, SEC) (required).
Hands-on experience with standard cell and molecular biology techniques and assays including qPCR and cDNA cloning (required).
Experience with antibody expression, purification and cell culture (required).
Experience with flow cytometry and FACS analysis is a plus.
