Junior Internal Auditor Fulltime, Amersfoort Headquarters + Europe travelling
You are finishing your studies (HBO/WO) in Finance and you have an interest in auditing. Your first idea is to work at a large corporation, where you are part of a large, external auditing team. However, did it pass your mind that it is even better to join an internal team? For the Internal Audit Department of IJsbrand Rohde, we are looking for a recently graduated professional in Finance to work as Internal Auditor within Yokogawa.
How does your role as Internal Auditor look like?
You will conduct financial and operational audits on topics such as Business Process reviews, Accounting, Governance and Risk Management. The audits will be performed together with your manager IJsbrand. After completing the audit, the feedback will be given to local management and together you formulate the suggestions for improvements. It is important that the reporting is correct. Especially as the Internal Auditing Department directly reports to Tokyo (where the global HQ is located).
These audits are not only performed locally in the Netherlands, but you also conduct them at Yokogawa locations throughout Europe, such as Madrid, Spain. As you are working with different cultures at every location, you are quickly able to adapt and keep a strong relationship with the stakeholders there, while maintaining the high standard that is expected from you. As travel is a large part of your role, setting priorities and working structurally is a key aspect of the job.
Finally, you will be asked to join process-based special audits if there are any suspicions that things seem to go wrong. This can be from project reviews up to (possible) fraud assessments. For this, you have to be able to act on facts, not on emotion while also being able to make decisions quickly.
You can make a difference! How?
By being the right fit for the organisation Yokogawa! We offer you the chance to learn everything there is to know, but we have to make sure that what you are looking for is represented in the culture of Yokogawa. This can be described best as informal, people-oriented and open. It does not matter who you want to talk to, because you can talk to everybody! Of course, we have a certain company structure, but we treat everybody the same. Opportunities to develop yourself and to grow within Yokogawa are very present. A development plan will be discussed and tailor-made for you.
Does this sound great? Great! All we ask for is the following:
A BSc/MSc in Finance, Accounting or Economics;
An internship at a financial company, ideally with some experience with auditing;
Full proficiency in English;
The ability to travel throughout Europe for work once in a while (10-15%).
It would be considered an advantage when you also have experience with SAP and knowledge of the Dutch language.
What is Yokogawa offering you?
Yokogawa is offering you the chance to learn everything about auditing in a role covering all of Europe. You will travel frequently (one week per 2 months) and get to know the organisation in a unique way. If you look at the terms of employment, Yokogawa offers:
As standard a 1-year contract, with the intention for a long-term commitment;
€2500 up to €3200 salary range, based on your experience;
Holiday allowance (8%) and annual bonus (5%);
25 + 6 vacation days, and the possibility to trade your bonus for additional vacation days;
Good pension scheme.
