NewForesight is looking for a Quantitative Junior Analyst (full time) for the Impact Analytics team
That is you
If you are ready to apply your super-powers of data-analysis and fact-based consulting in realizing real, sustainable impact on people, society and the planet.
Most definitely, if you want to be part of an elite organization that tackles the toughest sustainability challenges of our time, with the world's leading multinationals, civil society and public organizations.
“Sounds great, but what are you guys actually doing?”
The Challenge: With fertile lands becoming more scarce and climate more hostile to crop growth, businesses are looking to apply innovations in the field to successfully expand their operations and grow food in marginal conditions.
Your assignment: Identify innovations that allow for crops to thrive despite extreme conditions, e.g. irrigation methods or greenhouse setups. How effective are such innovations? What are the risks involved? What are options to increase their financial attractiveness? After you have shown the most promising paths forward, you make a concrete case for the client. Where can it set up these operations? What do they need to make this a success? All these details are built into a large dynamic Excel model that explores how to combine everything into a successful business model. The results are shown in a report full of graphs and tables, references to literature and recommendations gathered from interviews with experts around the world.
In your day-to-day work this would translate into:
Divide your time between trainings, internal task, and external projects, all with the goal of helping you grow into a change agent
Research and analysis (e.g. industry level analysis of agro-commodity sectors)
Project management support
Quickly translate theory into practically applicable project content
Assist in organizing our projects, with progressive client exposure depending on capabilities
Ad-hoc research projects and practical matters such as building PowerPoint presentations etc.
