In July 2007, Bank of China (Luxembourg) S.A. Rotterdam Branch (hereinafter referred as "Rotterdam Branch") was officially opened. Rotterdam Branch is the first branch of the Bank of China in the Netherlands as well as the first Chinese financial institution in the Netherlands. Since the establishment of the Rotterdam branch, relying on China, based on the local market, fulfilling social responsibility, serving Sino-Dutch Economic, trade and cultural exchanges, and also drawing on the distinctive tax structure and the sound financial system of the Netherlands, Rotterdam Branch is dedicated to providing high quality financial services to corporate customers and individual customers from both China and the Netherlands. After rapid development in the past decade years, Rotterdam Branch has gradually integrated into the local market and established pragmatic and mutual trust relations with the large number of Chinese-funded "going global" enterprises, local mainstream enterprises, Sino-Dutch trade enterprises and people from all sectors of society of China and the Netherlands.
The IT specialist will be responsible for the overall Information technology operation and project in the branch. Responsibilities are but not limited to the following: 1.Manage and direct the operations of software developers and programmers; 2.Manage and maintain networking and telecommunication systems to ensure quick access to information; 3.Protect business networks against attacks from outside sources; 4.Set up remote network access for users using virtual networking techniques or two-factor authentication; 5.Monitor network performance to notify networking engineers of network resource issues; 6.Oversee the management and licensing of computer/mobile device software applications; 7.Set up and configure servers for the management of applications and IT systems; 8.Ensure all applications have access to disk storage, backup and archiving; 9.Oversee the installation, configuration and management of applications on company approved devices; 10.Oversee the set up and configuration of an organization’s email and file server; 11.Manage equipment floor space and operational requirements such as air conditioning, battery and power supply etc. 12.Perform periodic backup of information and data to ensure recovery in event of system breakdown.
Technical Skills: 1.In-depth knowledge of office software (Word/Excel/Access/PowerPoint); 2.Strong inter-personal skills, good analytical skills to analyze, interpret, resolve and change; 3.Previous experience on Information technology would be considered in priority.
Soft Skills: 1.Education: Bachelor/Master degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Telecommunication or Related Studies; 2.Experience: 0-3 year of experiences; 3.Language skills: Fluency in English and Chinese are essential; other languages will be an advantage.
