IT Security Analyst to join their team. Location: Amsterdam or Belgium (Currently Remote)
About the role: An opportunity to join a fast- paced, leading edge payments and financial services company.
A successful candidate will hold a senior position with a unique cross functional perspective of the business and its working practices. A key influencer, working closely with all key stakeholders to build.
Assurance – to proactively review and assess security measures to protect a company and end clients from cyber-attacks, to help set and maintain security standards.
Awareness - It is the individual’s responsibility to document policies, to educate, coach and influence key stakeholders to embed cyber security into daily activities and tasks
Monitor & Troubleshoot – The professional looks into the configuration and network security of the systems to make sure they are working correctly, and they are up-to-date. The technician usually monitors and analyses alerts and performance of the systems. They compare, evaluate, and implement new safeguards and work with IT and vendors to integrate systems into the computing environment.
Given the nature of the products and regulated environment, a proven track record in payments and financial services would be advantageous.
Reporting to the CTO and part of the senior management. Actively participating in the risk committee. The individual has unique line of sight into the company operations and close liaison executive level to end users
It is also a material part of the companies governance and controls and has external exposure to regulator, card schemes and audit areas.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Document, Own and socialise ISM policy
Ensure monitoring and alerting is implemented on IT systems and networked
Work with IT infrastructure to Install security measures and operate software
to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
Investigate and remediate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents
Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
Work with the infrastructure and key IT partners to perform tests to proactively
uncover network vulnerabilities.
Ensure detected vulnerabilities are resolved to maintain a high-security
Stay current on IT security trends and news and make recommendations to
Develop, educate and coach company-wide best practices for IT security.
Own and maintain risk register and report progress / status to resolve issues.
Escalate where necessary.
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in providing services to financial services
Excellent written skills / attention to detail
Aptitude and desire to learn new technologies
Understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery requirements and
Experience in Networking, System Administration, NOC, or Help Desk
management would be an advantage
Demonstrated experience with software configuration management tools
Demonstrated experience with server virtualization technologies such as
VMware, and Citrix
Demonstrated experience in ITIL, ISO 27001 and or PCIDSS implementations
Demonstrated experience in developing cloud technology roadmaps and
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer
science, or related field
