    Job Description

    Location: Eindhoven (preferred) or Amsterdam - Depending on the possibility to work at the office due to the COVID-19 pandemic, for the time being you will mainly work from home and be supervised remotely.
    Type: Internship - non thesis
    Length: 6 months
    Time: 40 hours/week
    Expected Start Date: January 2021

    In this role, you have the opportunity to

    Drive the employee engagement and activation for our ambitious sustainability targets, engage with sustainability ambassadors, and support relevant engagement activities to build an active community and translate our sustainability ambitions and challenges to how we do business and make decision every day.

    You are responsible for

    • Supporting the Sustainability Community Manager in moderating the Sustainability Community of Practice by actively connecting people with experts, people with people, sharing the right information, and engaging in the discussion.

    • Become the expert of tools that can help Philips employees learn about sustainability, find useful resource, and connect with each other for challenges and best practices. You will also work directly with sustainability experts and advise them to leverage on the power of Sustainability Community of Practice to facilitate transformation.

    • Partner with Moderators of Sustainability Community of Practice to capture best practices and stories throughout companies to enrich the central library and promote it across different channels to activate more actions towards sustainability.

    • Support the organization and execution of activities such as live webinars, interactive events from finding presenters, preparing practice sessions, promoting the events through posts, to ensuring everything runs smoothly during the sessions.

    To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

    • Degree in Business Administration, Environment, Communications, Policy, Sustainability, Innovation and Strategy.

    • Passionate and knowledgeable about sustainability. Able to connect complex challenges to the right sources and experts

    • Able to translate complex technical information into engaging and interesting internal and external communications and be able to interact with diverse stakeholder groups

    • Self-starter, ability to drive actions independently while keeping close alignment with the wider team

    • Excellent project management skills: successfully manage multiple projects/ tasks through to completion

    • Strong interpersonal skills; natural connector and collaborator within the organization and across various stakeholder groups

    • Excellent English verbal and written skills

    • A keen eye and a curious mind, you see synergies and opportunities everywhere
