    About the job

Are you interested in working in a professional research setting and are passionate about nutritional technologies? Do you want to have an impact on the products of a renowned multinational company, like Danone? As our new new Proteolytic Enzymes Intern, you will be part of the Amino Acids, Hydrolysates & Carbohydrates Team in the Global Center of Excellence Engines, Ingredients & Plant-based for the Specialized Nutrition division of Danone Nutricia Research. This team focuses on researching and developing new innovative ingredients and technologies for medical and infant nutrition applications.

During this internship project you will scout new proteolytic enzymes. In particular you will investigate and study enzymes based on their comparative activity, value propositions and points of differentiation.

    Your main responsibilities will include:

    • Scouting and evaluating proteolytic enzymes from multiple sources on various protein substrates.
    • Perform lab and pilot plant scale protein hydrolysis and filtration experiments.
    • Investigate separation techniques to fractionize hydrolysis products.

Throughout the internship you will also develop your skills by:

    • Interpreting findings and to effectively communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
    • Providing hands-on support to the team when needed.
