Internship Operational Risk Management IT
We are looking for interns who can start from January 2021.
As an intern you will be working within First Line Risk (FLR) in close collaboration with Reporting and Analytics and CoE - Centre of Expertise Risk.
The Mission of FLR is “Driving Secure Banking Together”. FLR drives the organization to be demonstrably in control of their risks in order to be secure and is responsible for the First Line of Defense and Monitoring for whole Chief Information and Operations Office (CIOO) domain which includes assessing and implementing applicable Laws and Regulations as received from the CLR domain (Second Line of Defense) and translating these to clear and actionable Standards, Controls and Procedures. It is the ambition of FLR to be the collaboration partner with the integrated view, knowledge and expertise, acting as liaison to Rabobank Business and external partners on risk and security, supported by flexible reporting capabilities. We have the ambition to make sure risk management is as easy and clear as it can be. Together with the Centers of Expertise we are able to solve every risk case.
Reporting and analytics department provides the CIOO organisation with management information.
This information is delivered on an operational, tactical and strategic level. We combine IT, financial and risk data and present it on dashboards. We provide analysis and reports on specific topics for the whole IT and Operations organisation by translating the customer’s request into an appropriate solution.
The Centre of Expertise Risk team is a knowledge based expert pool that delivers support, advise and in depth knowledge on FLR areas and user domains on IT Risk, Business Continuity Management, Security, Compliance and Privacy. CoE Risk supports the business in the implementation of changed or new controls and ensures central coordination and holistic approach.
Within FLR, we want to go beyond qualitative descriptors and apply risk-adjusted return on capital quantifiers to measure operational risks and determine the effectiveness of the current controls.
As an intern, your tasks will include:
Help to monitor, implement risk, controls and returns
Assist in developing data-driven models of risk reward choice
Scenario analysis to analyze which risk control portfolios to give optimal return
Actively contribute to new non-financial risk and related projects
Continually improve the risk framework
Candidacy for last year bachelor or graduate degree (WO) in risk management, finance and analytics
Knowledge in data-driven modelling
Familiarity with risk management software
Good working knowledge of Python
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
Fluent in English
Efficient, creative, collaborative, as your role will involve working across teams
