About the Job
As our Legal and Compliance Intern, you will be working with our young and dynamic R&I Legal and Compliance team within Nutricia Research, who oversee all R&I legal and compliance topics for our Specialized Nutrition division. You will primarily be supporting the team with contract drafting, legal research and some legal/corporate project management activities. Additionally, you will be highly involved in the monitoring of the implementation of existing legal & compliance processes within the company. As we are working with various stakeholders, you will learn more about stakeholder management and support us in a variety of legal topics across scientific and corporate environments.
Your main responsibilities will include the following:
GDPR related reporting (ongoing);
Updating POAs and mandates and keep track of changes;
Draft and review contracts and engagement letters;
Closely work with the team on ongoing legal and corporate related projects;
Support in compliance-related topics, e.g. support in update of existing registers, provide help to the department to continuously animate compliance related topics, ensure implementation of procedures, preparation of checklists to ease implementation of procedures, etc.
Next to the above mentioned you will also get the chance to be involved in other legal and compliance topics depending on the timing of your internship and your own interests.
You are a Masters student in Law, or other related studies. You are curious and eager to learn more about legal and compliance topics and how to deal with them in the corporate environment. As you will be dealing and connecting with different topics at the same time, you should know how to manageyourself and be able to balance priorities. We are looking for a real team player who also does not mind working autonomously. You should have an eye for detail, be proactive and master Microsoft Office programs. Additionally, you should have an open and sociable personality and good communication skills as you will be working with various stakeholders and people. There are some hard requirements that you should consider:
You are enrolled as a student during the whole duration of the internship (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
You are fluent in English – oral and written, French and/or Dutch would be considered as a plus;
You can start as of October 2021, for 12 months (preferable), 4-5 days a week;
You are able to work in Utrecht, Netherlands once Covid-19 allows us to go back into the office.

We offer a gross monthly internship allowance of 450 (HBO students) or 550 (University students) euros per month.We do offer relocation to Utrecht, Netherlands and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.
