NXP Manufacturing IT
Manufacturing IT Nijmegen implements, develops and maintains IT solutions that enables the semiconductor factory ICN8 to run their operations effectively and efficiently and to continuously improve their performance. The factory has a high level of automation and equipment integration. ICN8’s performance depends heavily on availability of IT systems, and innovations in the functionality offered. There is a large variety of well-integrated commercial and in-house developed IT systems.
The applications run in a fully redundant on-premise cloud (VMWare) running Windows Server and Linux servers. Functional areas covered include shop floor control, fab logistics, industrial engineering, factory automation and equipment integration, quality control (on processes, products and equipment), data engineering, data analytics and reporting.
You will be working in the Manufacturing Infrastructure management team to help us further improving the IT security management for our factory domain.
The challenge we offer you
Participating in NXP Global DataCenter & Operational Tooling Segmentation projects, as one of the representatives of Manufacturing site Nijmegen;
Investigating pragmatic solutions for enabling NXP IT security policies at Manufacturing site Nijmegen on technical- and support organization level;
More specifically how to apply these security policies for DataCenter- & Operational-Tooling ICT items including the challenge of legacy (non-supported OS) devices within a secure environment;
Presenting the alternatives including pro’s and con’s of each alternative and a recommendation.
You are an enrolled Bachelor/HBO student in ICT, Computer Science, Engineering or related
Knowledge about and interested in application of ICT Security policy
Enthusiastic and showing initiative
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Project approach (mindset) with can do-attitude
Fluent in Dutch (must) and good command in English
Effective communication skills
Good analysis and (process)design skills
Fulltime (40 hours per week) for a duration of about six months. Please note that in order to be considered for an internship/working student, you need to be registered as a student during the entire period.
