Become one of our 20 International Trainees at Vattenfall. Each of the trainee positions is unique, linked to a department within a specific business area and a working location. This means that each position has its own specific responsibilities, challenges and matching profile.
Next to your personal development in this unique position you will be enjoying one year of all we have to offer. Your trainee year will be filled with meet-ups with your international trainee team with likeminded individuals. You will be meeting up virtually to work on assignments and live during four seminar weeks where you will be visiting our power plants and growing your superpowers with a variety of trainings.
Your role as an International Trainee – Digital Transformation within Business Control BA Heat
You will support the international BA Heat Business Control team in providing financial and non-financial business insights to steer and further improve our business operations and to develop our strategic direction. One key element is to define and implement our contribution to become fossil free within one generation. In this role we also need to challenge our traditional ways of working, tools and systems we are using. You will drive the transition to a more modern financial steering and controlling environment.
Your daily activities:
Getting familiar with BA Business Control core tasks
Support running and executing digital initiatives and initiating new potentials
Developing the strategic digital roadmap for Business Control BA Heat
Maintaining overview of existing financial processes, tools and systems
Being member and support existing System Development networks
BA Heat aims to grow by delighting its customers and being a preferred partner to cities/stakeholders, providing efficient, low CO2-emitting solutions to the energy transformation. We want to grow both in heating on-grid and off-grid and as a provider of flexibility and stability to the power grids. We are operating district heating and power production assets in Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands. In addition we are currently entering into the UK heat market.

As an International Trainee – Digital Transformation within Business Control BA Heat you recognize yourself in the following:
You have recently graduated with a master’s degree in Business Informatics, Data Science, Computer Science Engineering, Business Administration or similar
You have an affinity for business finance and controlling processes whilst also being passionate about IT, tools and systems
You enjoy digitalization and are intrigued by the value creation of big data
You are talented in structuring complex tasks into manageable bits and pieces
You are familiar with PowerBI, platforms and business intelligence from work or study experience
You are our ideal trainee if you are a recent graduate with an academic degree or you graduate before September 2021. You are fluent in English. Skills in another language of Vattenfall’s countries of operation can be a merit. You are willing to relocate for possible assignments throughout the organization. And of course, you identify yourself with our principles: active, open, positive and safe.
You will be working in the department Business Control BA Heat (TC-V) and the position is located in Berlin (Germany), Amsterdam (The Netherlands) or Stockholm (Sweden).
