JS COCOA was founded in 1923 by the Schoemaker brothers and has been based in Zaandam since the very beginning. Over the years it has developed an indispensable role in the global cocoa industry with its circular business model. With a unique combination of specialized processing techniques JS COCOA is producing a range of high standard cocoa butters and cocoa powders, made from great cocoa raw materials not making the cut. We select and source these cocoa bean misfits directly in the countries of origin i.e. Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroun, as well as from cocoa industry partners located on five continents. Resigha Ltd in Ghana is a wholly owned subsidiary and is responsible for sourcing West African cocoa raw materials. JS COCOA products are sold worldwide, used in the production of chocolate, pharmaceutics and personal care products. In order to meet our ambitious commercial growth strategy, we are looking for an International B2B Sales Manager in our team in Zaandam. With a passion for international travel and human interaction, you attract around 50 new leads per year, to fuel the sales pipeline. With your drive and winner-mentality you take them by the hand step by step from first contact to first contract, and beyond. With around 25 international customer visits and 15 successful product approvals you gain at least 10 new customers annually with the objective to add €2,5mio in turnover per annum. In an organization of our modest size, all employees are being involved in the bigger picture of the company’s strategy. The roles and responsibilities are broadly defined with often cross functional interactions. As the Internal B2B Sales Manager of JS COCOA you are directly reporting to the Commercial Director and responsible for both existing customer relationships and developing new customers. You are selling our cocoa ingredients to national and international customers ranging in size from SME’s to large multi-nationals, you are eager to realize new business in both mature and emerging markets worldwide, discover new sales opportunities like the palm replacement trend in the oils and fats space and you are the first point of contact for our international distributors and agents.

You are a professional yet entrepreneurial personality that excels in communicating, are result-oriented yet realistic in setting targets and skilled in developing and following a structured approach in work execution. Making results happen is your key motivation. You are eager for responsibility and taking the lead. You own success, but also own up to mistakes, and proactively initiate improvements within the company. You have at least 5 years of commercial experience in the business-to-business food industry, preferably in cocoa and chocolate.
(Professional) University level education (business/marketing/life sciences)
Maximum 5 years of working experience (preferably commercial/marketing background)
Experience in B2B food industry is a must
Preference for a candidate with experience in the cocoa and chocolate industry
Available for 30% international travel
Available full time
A talent for communicating
Perfect verbal and written English, Dutch, and French is required.
Command of the Polish, Turkish, Russian or Arab languages is a plus.
Demonstrated successful experience with managing by influence.
Entrepreneurial, independent, initiating, flexible, passionate and result-oriented are your main competencies.
