    International Accounting Intern (Position located in Utrecht, Netherlands)

    This internship will be fully remote, and might offer the option to work in-office or hybrid, depending on the state of COVID restrictions in Summer 2022. The intern will not be required to work in-office or hybrid, as the remote option will always be available.

    The Accounting intern is responsible for several accounting activities covering any one of our international subsidiaries under the supervision of an Accountant. This person would also support any ongoing projects during the tenure of this internship.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Accounting: The candidate will own several accounting activities for any one of our international subsidiaries, such as:
      • Support in the preparation and booking journal entries in NetSuite
      • Manage prepaid expense schedules
      • Fixed assets management
      • Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
      • Analysing income statement and balance sheet trends for the allocated subsidiary
    • General support on specific activities and projects:
      • Support in the preparation of year end financial statements / audit if applicable to that entity
      • Support our International Accounts Payable team as and where necessary
      • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices

    Learning Objectives:

    • Use of accounting tools (e.g. NetSuite and Floqast)
    • Experience in analyzing transactions and determine proper accounting in accordance with GAAP and stat
    • Analysis of income statement and balance sheet trends of the assigned subsidiary
    • Management of the fixed assets and prepaid expenses of the assigned subsidiary

    Internship Opportunities/Experiences:

    • To learn the end to end process of accurately reporting GAAP books for an international entity along with being able to explain differences from month to month


    • In addition to standard KB4 intern training, this position will include on-the-job training in the use of financial reporting tools

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Strong knowledge of accounting and working towards completion of a degree in Accounting and ultimately CPA or equivalent
    • Ability to analyse data using excel or Google sheets
    • Attention to detail
    • Excellent time management and organization skills


    • College senior working towards finishing their Bachelor's Degree and above, 1st year masters accomplishment is a plus
