    Internal Auditor

    The Business Assurance department serves the TomTom organization as a sparring partner that drives improvements in complex environments. The primary scope of the Group Internal Audit department is to strengthen core business processes which often have a technological component. Additionally, the department reviews the relevant governance and compliance related matters.

    The Internal Auditor plays an important role in the TomTom organization. Internal audit drives best practices in software development, data privacy and cyber security. Recommend improvements to the IT control environment as well executing operational audits on processes as well as visiting our offices to do office reviews. In liaison with the Head of Internal Audit you will determine the Internal Audit roadmap and execute it. This position reports to the Head of Internal audit.

    What you’ll do

    • Plan engagements by conducting researching, performing risk analyses, interviewing stakeholders and agreeing on a scope together with those stakeholders and the Head of Internal Audit.
    • Independently execute IT and finance related audits taking ownership of the entire audit cycle. Audits will also cover business processes and functions.
    • Contribute to an Internal Audit roadmap that will deliver value added audits. Ensure good and timely planning, drive high quality reports delivered by the internal audit team and discuss findings with management.
    • Constantly contribute towards Internal Audit’s understanding of the organization and an Internal Audit roadmap that remains relevant and future proof. Build relationships with our business and product units that develop software, services or digital content.
    • Construct audit reports and engagement deliverables that articulate business relevant observations suitable for the intended audience. Follow up on actions arising from internal audit work performed.
    • Consult and coordinate with other risk advisory functions across the organization in order to maintain a comprehensive view or risk management.
    • Assist in corporate projects.

    What you’ll need

    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably completed with a recognized professional qualification e.g. RA, RO, RE, CIA or CISA.
    • 4 years’ experience in auditing at a professional services firm (e.g. big 4) or as an internal auditor at another tech firm.
    • 4 - 8 years of working experience.
    • Strong communication and relationship building skills (be in continuous contact with the business).
    • Process, problem solving and action orientated mindset.
    • Willingness to travel regularly (15% max) post the Covid-19 related travel restrictions.
    • Fluency in English.
    • Experience in data analytics and relevant tools (Power BI, Tableau) would be a positive.
