Advising AkzoNobel, Enerkem, Port of Rotterdam and Air Liquide on the financing of a new waste-to-methanol plant providing a sustainable alternative for non-recyclable waste by converting waste plastics into new raw materials.
Financing important Dutch infrastructure such as the public-private partnerships (PPP’s) for the renovation of the Afsluitdijk and the new sea locks in IJmuiden.
Structuring and financing a carbon farming project in New Zealand whereby 4,000 ha’s of marginal farm land will be converted to forest based on long term offtake agreements from large corporations for the carbon credits generated.

ReTHINK the start of your career
This internship gives you the opportunity to spend 3 to 6 months getting to know many interesting facets of the bank and to discover where your qualities lie. You will get the chance to take a look at a fascinating department and acquaintance yourself with structured finance. You can help with delivering transactions that drive the energy transition, increase sustainable food production, support key infrastructure and are at the frontier of the circular economy.
In your daily work you will:
Take a role in the structuring, due diligence and execution of transactions
Prepare pitches, vetting sheets, and credit applications in co-operation with your deal team
Co-operate with the Relationship Portfolio Management team on the preparation of reviews and waivers, and collaborate with ancillary departments (e.g. legal, fiscal, mid-office) to streamline the execution process
Contribute to taking a pro-active approach towards market developments
Prepare a deep dive on one or two specific sector developments particularly relevant for our business line, and get the chance to present your findings to a broader audience
During your entire internship you will be supported by a dedicated supervisor and buddy who will help you find your way around.

A WO master’s student with a quantitative or financial background
An interest in financial modelling
Fluent in English, both verbal and written (an additional foreign language would be beneficial)
