The financial Systems team at Booking.com provides technical expertise to the finance department and is responsible for supporting SAP ERP/S4HANA, SAP BI, Native HANA solutions, and many other connected external systems. We want to change the way people work with enterprise systems, by building an application platform that supports simplification of business processes and empowers the finance community with better integrations financial insights.
As an integration architect, you will be responsible for leading the integration of business processes across disparate systems. Establish and document integration best practices and share it with the whole team. This role involves active hands-on development and daily interaction with functional specialists, other developers, business users, risk and security auditors, or any stakeholder involved, therefore it is essential to have excellent business process knowledge, a good understanding of financial processes, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Help our team with providing best practices, enterprise architecture standards, and reusable integration patterns.
Ability to take fast decisions in a very dynamic environment, with some level of uncertainty
Driving and leading architecture design discussions and actively documenting them.
Build template solutions on complex integration cases and mentor other team members to follow the best approach.
Maintaining and supporting existing integration interfaces.
Create technical design and actual implementation of solutions.
Continuously monitor and propose improvements and innovations in our integration landscape.
Min 8 years of experience in the IT industry.
3+ full implementation cycle in integration area.
Good understanding of concepts such as EDA, MOA, SOA, SOAP, REST APIs, RESTful, RPC/RFC, event streams such as Kafka and different integration patterns.
Strong development experience preferable with JAVA/J2EE and build tools like Maven
Expert level integration platform experience with Mule 4.x
Exposure to a variety of enterprise architectures from a large monolithic architecture to hybrid landscapes consisting of distributed systems and microservices and event-driven architectures.
Demonstrable experience of API led design using RAML/OAS and experience of supporting APIs through the full API lifecycle
Experience defining and configuring devops processes (CI/CD, Deployment Strategy, Test automation, Change management)
Experience with system observability (Graphite, Grafana etc.)
Other Integration platform experience especially SAP PI is a plus.
Experience with Apigee is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience with managing external parties such as IT business partners, software suppliers, SOX auditors, and third parties;
Organized, flexible, proactive, and result-oriented.
