WHAT YOU’LL BE IN CHARGE OF
As a HSSE Manager you'll have the responsibility for the development, implementation and improvement of the corporate Management System and related policies. Furthermore the department is responsible for dealing with all Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment related issues. Typical activities include incident investigations and reporting, (site) audits, training of internal and external teams, corporate improvement, emergency preparedness, document control and legislative compliance.
You are part of the operations department and you'll be the subject matter expert (SME) on all aspects of HSSE across all NewMotion activities and locations. Relating to the Environment, you'll also be responsible for managing environmental risk including overseeing our Corporate and Social Responsibilities (CSR). You are the overall owner of the annual HSSE plan and ultimately accountable for its delivery.
Work location is primarily office based in Amsterdam.
THIS IS HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE
- Define and lead the HSSE and CSR agenda at NewMotion, guiding the Leadership Team in achieving top quartile HSSE & SP performance;
- Apply a risk based approach to HSSE, connecting safety with internal controls like business continuity and actively putting in place risk mitigation;
- Implement an HSSE & assurance audit program, complementing current assurance activities and using best practice and learnings to bring the audit program to a new level;
- Develop the HSSE culture internally and across the contractor base, moving the dialogue from the head to the heart, from ticking boxes to learning from incidents and deeply caring about safety in our day to day context;
- Introduce and run an annual HSSE program that delivers a minimum level of HSSE competency across the whole company and brings to life our safety agenda for all stakeholders.
THIS IS WHO YOU ARE
- 5+ years experience in a similar function;
- Genuine deep commitment and authenticity around drive to Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Social Performance (HSSE&SP) improvement;
- Demonstration of sound understanding of HSSE methodology and analysis with capability to effectively implement HSSE standards and authentically support behavioural safety initiatives (auditing, incident investigation, reporting and training);
- Showcases strong partnership mentality working with colleagues, contractors and partners to deliver safety across all NewMotion activities;
- Good knowledge of Google G-suite and applications;
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
