    HSE Engineer

    In this position, you will be responsible for planning and execution of HSE activities on FPSO and SPM tenders and projects. Further, based on a good knowledge and understanding on (inter)national Safety Codes and best practices you supply our operating assets with clear and practical advice and support our organisation in developing and implementation of elements of Process Safety. You could be involved in incident investigations and HSEQ audits when required abroad; on site, offshore or with our client.
    Furthermore, you will keep knowledge and procedures up-to-date on all relevant aspects and share this within the department. You will use and maintain corporate standards, develop and propose corporate and section improvements. In this position you will report to the Section Head HSE.

    Requirements

    We are looking for a forward thinking communicator with strong planning and organizational skills. You will offer pro-active assistance and initiate improvements. Furthermore:
    • you have a relevant Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience in the oil and gas (or related) industry
    • you have knowledge of relevant HSE tools
    • experience in auditing and understanding and knowledge of UK legislation is a plus
    • you solve complex issues for which helicopter view, in-depth expertise and analytical skills are necessary
    • you are fluent in Dutch and English, both written and verbal
    • you solve bottlenecks, change approach if things are not working, you keep an eye on the balance between quality, costs and benefits and you act responsibly
