    Head of People

    MR MARVIS is looking for a talented and sociable Head of People! The Head of People will drive the HR strategy and operations. MR MARVIS is growing fast, in two years we’ve grown from 5 to 45 people and two stores (Amsterdam, Antwerp). We just signed a new office in Amsterdam which can host up to 60 people. Also, more international store openings are on the horizon. As HR operations are increasing and since we see how positive people are about the culture at MR MARVIS, we realised it is time to hire someone to take our HR strategy to the next level. The position is available per October/November 2021 for 24-40 hours a week.

    Responsible for..

    • HR strategy: set up processes, policies and an organisation design that aligns with our culture and fast (international) growth
    • Employee lifecycle management: onboarding, work anniversaries, performance management, off-boarding
    • Employee performance management: learning & development, 360 degree reviews, evaluation cycles, find and set up a performance management system
    • Recruitment: set up recruitment tools/processes that allow us to hire and retain top talent, manage external recruiters/agencies, ensure vacancies are displayed on relevant job boards, asses candidates on job/culture fit
    • Advice management and employees on HR related questions
    • Compliance and handling of topics related to (international) labour law, collective labour agreement (CAO), and occupational health policy (Arbobeleid)
    • Defining and optimising our company benefits offering, driving employee happiness
    • Ensuring our culture, mission and values are maintained while we scale and grow internationally
    • Administrative tasks: preparing salary payouts, managing external (international) pay-rollers, contracts, hardware. Later these can be handed over to a junior / HR assistant

    Your experience..

    • 4+ years of HR experience
    • Are approachable, sociable, and empathetic
    • Aligns with most of the responsibilities described above
    • Experience in a fast growing (international) organisation / scale up is a plus
    • Higher education or university degree
    • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
