    Head of BPO

    The Head of BPO is the single threaded owner and is accountable for all ECL products, across product definition, development, management and discontinuation, including: ideation of new business products and product features, aligning business product portfolio with the Maersk integrator strategy and preparing product user stories, PR/FAQ and roadmap; overseeing the technology and operation development, weighing in major architecture and operation choices and advocating Maersk’s product best practices

    Key responsibilities


    • Responsible for identifying the holistic value proposition (along with relevant functions) for customers based on their needs and pain points, and Maersk’s growth strategy and environment; transforming those value propositions into profitable products. BPO is the ultimate single accountable person for ensuring that the value proposition delivers on clearly defined product objectives
    • Drives product design in collaboration with internal products / processes and platforms; communicates and articulate overarching product value proposition, connecting the customer needs and pain points with product features and benefits
    • Responsible for ensuring platform, internal product and operational teams have a holistic understanding of the product’s value proposition in order to develop technical and operational solutions along the delivery processes and ensure the execution of the value proposition
    • Define and communicate acceptance criteria, collaborating with all platforms and internal products teams involved
    • Work with customers to understand and qualify their needs and requirements, ensuring they are included in the product value proposition in an integrated way
    • Responsible for measuring product user feedback and implementing it in collaboration with platform and internal product following a continuous enhancing roadmap, including platform enhancements
    • Responsible for continuously managing and optimizing the product post-launch to sustain relevance and differentiation
    • Responsible for working collaboratively and coach other business Product Owners & Managers across the product and platform organization to advocate product management best practices and establish Maersk as a world class reference in product management

    • Accountable for the P&L of the product they own
    • Accountable for delivering to customers the value proposition and to Maersk the benifits (financial, efficiency, volume) decribed in product's PR/FAQ.
    • Accountable for defining product go-to market & pricing strategy, financial forecast, and sales channel strategy
    • Accountable for the E2E lifecycle of the production
    • Accountable for the creation and maintenance of product master data quality and key documents, and the creation and validation of the product’s PRFAQ by QED
    • Accountable for developing the product roadmap and business requirements which serve as input for platform and processes for internal products
    • Accountable for enabling integrated solutions, defining cross product requirements and delivering seamlessness customer experience when owning an E2E solution

    We are looking for

    • Ability to identify customer pain points using qualitative and quantitative data
    • Demonstrates a combination of outstanding customer-oriented business acumen with effective technical knowledge, leverages agile method elements in approach and practices
    • Ability to drive change management in operations, sales and IT to deliver product value proposition and go to market strategy
    • Strong financial acumen, anticipates future product performance delivery and factors it into overall pricing strategy decisions
    • Strong communication skills to support new product ideas to senior and executive leadership
    • Strong go-to-market experience
    • Extreme focus on driving continuous improvements post launch
    • Ability to balance short term and long term business objectives
