    Group Product Manager - Flights

    As a Group Product Manager for our Flights track you’re ultimately responsible for driving the product teams to deliver a world class flights e-commerce experience that will raise the bar of the industry.

    B.responsible

    • You take full end to end responsibility for your product, including hands on work.
    • Develop and own the long-term product vision and inspire your teams and Product Managers to achieve the vision by sharing your message effectively.
    • Identify opportunities and establish a strategy and roadmap to make the vision a reality.
    • Support Product Managers in translating customer insights, company direction, business objectives, industry developments into teams’ long- and short term priorities.
    • Work closely with key stakeholders to understand user needs with data, identify gaps in our offerings and develop product requirements.
    • Own the relationship and collaboration with other teams within Booking.com and external partners as well as other Group Companies.
    • Because your opinion is data-driven, you will define key business and success metrics, track them, and improve upon them.
    • Drive the product teams to have a clear plan to deliver towards the track's objectives.
    • Benchmark our Flights product against industry standards and competitors.
    • Drive the customer experience, continually raising the bar on quality, functionality and usability.
    • Mentor the professional development of each direct report through personal and performance management and coaching.

    B.skilled

    • Minimum of 7+ years of proven experience in a Product Management or Product leadership role, ideally with a significant part of it within the Flights Industry.
    • Past experience with managing and coaching teams as direct reports.
    • Past experience in the Flights industry and working at e-commerce websites.
    • Excellent communication skills - Being able to both communicate effectively both strategic vision and specific details to various stakeholders, from senior leadership to individual project members. Being able to write clear and concise product requirements, status updates and product results.
    • Strong analytical skills - Able to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and recommend effective action plans to resolve issues.
    • Strong organisational and project management skills - Someone with responsibility to ensure multiple projects are completed in an appropriate and timely manner.
    • Experience with stakeholder management (finance, budgeting, team management, recruitment, external customers).
    • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are essential.
    • Drive the customer experience, continually raising the bar on quality, functionality and usability.
    • Mentor the professional development of each direct report through personal and performance management and coaching. As a natural leader, someone that can infuse the knowledge from the flights industry over to other team members.
    • Commercial acumen to help drive our financial KPIs and budget.
    • Good and solid understanding of financial terms and vocabulary, with emphasis on the terms used in the flights industry.
    • Have a solid and thorough understanding of the key industry players, including but not limited to the main distribution channels airline players in the industry use.
    • Ability to work remotely with teams within Flights but also with teams across partners that will not necessarily be located in the same place.
