    Global Service Manager, Product Assurance (Industrial)

    Local Unit & Position Description:
    In line with DNV’s position as a trusted voice to tackle global transformations, the DNV Supply Chain and Product Assurance division’s (SCPA) ambition is to shape the future of assurance through innovating, developing and growing assurance services in Digital, Supply Chain, Medical Technology & Healthcare and Offshore Aquaculture.

    Operating within this division, our Product Assurance team providing services for the industrial sectors of Pressure equipment, Machinery, Construction & Rail and devices in hazardous areas works with a broad portfolio of customers to ensure their products are safe and conform with the relevant rules and regulations.

    The Global Service Manager for Product Assurance (Industrial)
    will be a champion for quality and will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing the Product Assurance governance framework within the Supply Chain & Product Assurance division. You will utilize your extensive domain knowledge and accomplished regulatory experience to ensure best practice and continuously look at ways to drive improvements across the Product Assurance service line.

    Tasks may include:
    • Responsible for development and implementation of the Product Assurance governance framework within the SCPA Organization in cooperation with other stakeholders (e.g. Global Technical Manager for industrial services, etc)
    • Responsible for implementation of service governance and quality in the Product Assurance service line to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and standards
    • Ensure independency in certification decisions
    • Manage notifications and accreditations, including audit management and communication with accreditation bodies and competent authorities
    • Take the ownership of the Product Assurance policies and procedures in the DNV management System (DMSP) and in cooperation with the scheme technical managers develop and maintain the system to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and standards
    • Ensure adherence to the DNV Management System’s principles
    • Structure the management system for easy access to procedures, guidelines, and forms
    • Update DNV about changes of governing procedures, instructions, guidelines, and forms
    • Support the development and maintenance of instructions, guidelines, and forms
    • Ensure implementation of governing procedures in DNV
    • Perform training when needed
    • Monitor updates and participate in hearings from external scheme stakeholders (Regulators, Authorities, Accreditation Bodies, IAF, EA, CEOC, Regulatory bodies)
    • Cooperate with quality responsible for other service lines to ensure an efficient and streamlined DNV Management System
    • Planning, leading, and reporting Management Review of the quality system
    • Managing the internal audit system and report status
    • Monitor and report on Key Quality Indicators
    • Implementation of corrective and preventive actions
    • Provide input to improvements in the certification process
    • Ensure good cooperation and communication within Product Assurance Governance functions and in DNV

    The position can be based anywhere in Europe.
    Position Qualifications:
    Demonstrated track record in the following areas:
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a QA role within a technical / engineering / regulatory environment
    • Project Management Experience
    • Knowledge of the accreditation standards relevant for DNV Product Assurance as a certification / notified body
    • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and statutory requirements for the schemes provided by Global Product Assurance Organizations (Industrial Schemes, Currently Pressure Equipment Directive, Machinery Directive, ATEX & IECEx, CPR, Welding services (EN 15085, ISO 3834, Welder certification) + corresponding non-EU schemes)
    • Ability to lead, coach, mentor and develop others in the network
    • Holds self and others to high standards
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple competing tasks and demands
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills, Effective in influencing and achieving results
    • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
    • Relevant university degree (Engineering)
    • Strong language skills, fluency in English
