    Global Project Execution Manager

    In this challenging job you coordinate and execute global project operations to the highest degree in a new, fast-moving industry, Electric Vehicle Charging. These projects are in the field of electrification of heavy vehicle fleets, mostly in the area of public transportation like bus depots. You will utilise cross BU/Divisional resources to achieve project and operational outcomes. You ensure the market position and brand recognition of ABB is kept to a high standard, amongst strong customer execution requirements. In this role you will coordinate with multiple stakeholders with effective communication, internally and externally.

    Your mission is to ensure that operations are executed in accordance with company procedures, contract specifications, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments. You coordinate and oversee team development and standardized process development to continually improve effectiveness of project execution teams.

    • Leads implementation of continuous improvements for the project execution strategy for the local or regional project operation.
    • Project portfolio; ensures that the regional/ local portfolio of projects is managed consistently, based on best practices and ABB Policies.
    • Regular interaction with Local Project Managers, residing in Local Sales Unites for Local Project Execution, relevant local stake-holders, Global Product Management and Sales Region Europe
    • Leads and overseas the project execution teams, ensuring that ABB Policies are consistently followed. Develops, customizes and continuously improves standard processes and work instructions by adopting ABB and external best practices. Ensures that lessons learned from project execution are analyzed and conclusions are incorporated in continuous improvement actions.
    • Participates in the budgeting process. Participates in Sales and Operations planning, and takes actions to close potential gaps in project execution capacity.
    • Supervises project execution and performance management through project reviews with management and Local Project Managers to ensure contract fulfilment, and approves any project deviations. Takes an active role in resolving escalated issues, especially those raised by the customer. Ensures the portfolio of projects follows good methodology and execution practices in accordance with internal standard procedures, and projects are closed as per contracts entered with customers.
    • Ensures that projects consistently apply contract and claims management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements.
    • Builds and maintains relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Serves as an escalation point for individual and systemic project management issues within the project execution.
    • Validates and supports that adequate HSE measures are taken in the respective project operations functions and that an HSE culture is implemented and maintained in the organization.
    • Provide / organize training to both internal and external stakeholders on technical aspects and implementation of EVCI product portfolio and business.

    Your background

    • Degree (BSc) in Engineering preferably in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
    • Knowledge in power electronics products, e.g. UPS systems and voltage conditioners, will be highly appreciated.
    • Hands-on experience in project management and site service will be valuable for the success of this role.
    • Experience in managing and working with sub-contractors will be advantage.
    • Good communication skills (written & verbal) in English.
