    Job Description


    As JDE Professional, we are the B2B division of JDE. By reaching consumers when they are out of home – whether at work, in university, in care, in an airport or a hotel – we strengthen the core purpose of our company: to bring a coffee for every cup. JDE Professional comprises 2900 associates across the world, who are responsible for delivering almost Eur1bn of annual revenues. Together we bring our customers the Full Solution for all their hot drinks needs from powerhouse brands such as Jacobs, Kenco, LÓr, Pickwick and Douwe Egberts. We provide coffee for all occasions, in all categories, as well as tea, coffee machines, technical service and accessories.

    One of the most exciting propositions in our Premium Coffee platform is the Barista Station for non-commercial customers. These unmanned coffee stations include a full automated bean-to-cup machine positioned in a self-contained branded cabinet, with full portfolio of coffee and tea options, self-pay technology, and technical service provision. They allow consumers to purchase quality coffee with all the experience of being in a specialty coffee store, without the high customer cost of actually having to manage a manned coffee outlet. We are also now partnering with our sister companies like specialty coffee store Espresso House to further enhance the branding of the Barista Station proposition.

    Responsibilities

    The Barista Station concept is a winning proposition for Professional and is/will be deployed in 5 of our key markets as we speak, with ambitious growth targets for further role out. However our initial learnings have shown us that this concept requires careful operational management to realize its huge potential. Therefore, we are recruiting for an Operations Specialist to take total operational accountability for the accelerated deployment of Barista Stations across the globe.

    In this role you will ensure smooth and on-time-in-full introductions of the full concept (Equipment, Furniture, Connectivity, Payment) in new markets. You will be the first point of contact to our MSU’s and Global Brand Partners regarding operational and technical performance. You will constantly monitor the operational way of working for Barista Stations to secure operational performance & customer satisfaction and initiate improvement initiatives.

    Moreover, you will keep the Operational Playbook Barista Station up to date and work closely together with the marketing specialist to optimize daily operational performance. You will ensure successful installation setup and successful Quality assurance & training within MSU’s and Partners.

    Furthermore, in your role you will monitor park performance & work with local operational team to implement mitigating actions.

    This role requires frequent travel during the market startup phase.


    Qualifications


    To be successful in this role you will need:

    • 2+ years working experience in a project management or operations role.
    • Knowledge of / or motivation to learn the basics of coffee machine technology.
    • Ability to communicate on different organizational levels, with different cultures and with suppliers.
    • Ability to oversee all aspects of complex market implementation projects.
    • Capability to demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Fluency in English, preferably knowledge of Dutch and German (basics).
