About the role
You’ll be responsible for the Global Inventory Management for total inventory (FG and Pckgg materials) covering Primary & Secondary markets for all regions except India, Turkey, NAM, Russia. While these 4 markets will remain out of direct accountability and control, however all reporting, visibility and understanding of the inventory performance drivers globally will be a responsibility in this position.
You will be responsible for developing annual inventory value and turns plan in collaboration with business leadership team, operations and finance. Develop a 3-year roadmap of both tactical and structural opportunities and sequencing the same in quarterly and year buckets.
You’ll establish roadmap to achieve objectives, including process, application support tools, policies, and control mechanisms.
Manage the monthly governance process that tracks progress to plan and identifies corrective actions when necessary by working closely with key stakeholders.
You will define and develop end to end inventory network model which establishes our baseline process capability and measures system level performance.
Based upon the inventory model you will develop a process improvement strategy with targeted improvements including but not limited to product routing controls, forecast and replenishment enhancements, better integration with key supply chain nodes (both internal and external.)
Work closely with procurement to collaborate with upstream suppliers to help improve end to end inventory performance through better forecast integration, cycle time reductions, and programs such as VMI and continuous replenishment.
You’ll direct, implement and monitor adherence to global inventory policies and standardization of processes, KPI’s and reporting.
You will provide support to business and operational sites on how to optimize overall network inventory and individual node performance with optimized processes, tools, and techniques.
Providing direct leadership and liaising with stakeholders across supply chain you will ensure projects align and are on track with global inventory targets.
You will have a critical role within Global PCLS function and you will be instrumental in delivering on Diageo’s efficient growth ambition. You will be required to build effective relationships across our end to end Supply Chain, DBS and the key market leadership teams in order to deliver performance. You will transform the way we design, review, manage and transform inventory and SLOB’s performance in Diageo.
To be successful in role you should have had hands-on and leadership experience working within progressive positions in Planning with greater focus on Supply, Distribution planning and Inventory management with relevant experience across CPG, F&B industry.
You’ll demonstrate strong personal drive and ability to foster effective working relationships with stakeholders, peers, leaders and bringing leadership and influencing skills to fore.
It is essential that you have a proven track record in designing, shaping and implementing Supply Planning and inventory management responsibilities at scale and complexity and deliver on the outcomes.
You will have demonstrable good experiential knowledge of end to end supply chain management with significant emphasis on strong analytical mindset, being results oriented.
It would be great if you have previous experience of managing a Inventory Control Tower or equivalent for significant scale and complexity of global MNC businesses.
