The Global Impact Engagement (GIE) team is looking to hire an Impact Management (IM) Sr Manager to support the team’s work
enabling Salesforce.org to measure, manage, & align our impact and helping to align efforts for our customers to do the same.
About The Role
Reporting to the VP of Global Impact Engagement, the Impact Management (IM) Analyst will assist multiple GIE work streams. GIE is an innovation team that sits at the heart of Salesforce.org’s efforts to drive stakeholder impact programming. The team operates in an entrepreneurship working culture and with multiple functions structured in a lean way. The IM Analyst day-to-day work will include: IM Program Management, IM Process Management, IM Sector Research, and IM Knowledge & Learning. The role requires an ambitious, collaborative and detail-oriented individual with deep knowledge of the impact management market, trends and actors.
IM Program Management - support GIE team’s impact management program management including coordinating project activities and milestones, across stakeholders including within core team, extended team, and business partners to deliver on an agreed set of outcomes.
IM Process Management - support GIE team impact management processes by diagraming as-is and to-be processes, gathering and documenting requirements, managing project timelines and deliverables, and drafting status updates for executives.
IM Sector Research - collect, benchmark and synthesize the latest impact management trends and other research about leading IM sector actors; support product and service offering development with research from standard setters, regulatory organizations, data aggregators, foundations, government, etc. that help drive product and service proofs-of-concept.
IM Knowledge & Learning - Curate impact management research into knowledge products that help build greater IM subject matter expertise to drive continuous improvement
Skills/What you’ll need to be successful:
5+ years working in impact management program/project management experience including impact consulting and/or impact finance work experience MBA a plus
Experience in developing and delivering impact management programs that organize people toward common goals with demonstrated practical experience within large and complex organizations
Passion for and demonstrated subject matter expertise around stakeholder impact management - impact/performance management across sectors including corporate sustainability/non-financial/ impact reporting, and development in impact investing.
Strong tactical execution management skills; confidence to independently make decisions to meet internal deadlines and customer needs.
Flexibility - you take great pleasure from helping to drive an innovative business program and passion for driving clear definition in a yet not fully-defined program.
Ability to develop strong cross-functional working relationships across functions and geographies and adept at synthesizing competing inputs from multiple stakeholders
Interest and ability to learn new technologies – you don’t have to be a Salesforce expert, but should be willing to learn about our products.
You aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty and do the work needed to make our impact management program as effective as possible. Though it will grow over time, the team is very lean today - you’ll need to be actively engaged in developing content and materials.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to balance competing internal priorities. Attention to detail and an extremely high bar for quality.
Strong research presentation skills, especially related to building compelling PowerPoint/ Google Slides presentations.
