The Kraft Heinz Company (KHC) is hiring a Procurement Senior Director to be a fundamental part of its Procurement Evolution and Transformation Plan, which is closely connected to the company’s New Enterprise Strategy and deeply linked to iconic brands such as Heinz Ketchup and Mac & Cheese.
KHC’s Procurement Organization is a key enabler to leverage external links throughout the Suppliers Chain to help better understand, predict and address changing consumer habits, technological transformation and the environmental/social agenda.
We aim to create a World Class Procurement Organization to be a source of value creation, contributing to both Top and Bottom line, and aiming to be recognized as a magnet for people attraction in the mid./long.
As the Global Head of Ingredients Procurement, you are responsible for Driving our Transformation as a role model, besides being in charge for the full Category Management of Key Ingredients (such as Tomatoes, sugar, grains, beans, fruits, vegetables, food additives, among others) for products and brands people love.
Among the key deliverables expected to the role are: creation, development and execution of Sourcing Strategies, Supplier Collaboration, Innovation and Co-Creation, Value Engineering, and ESG (environmental, social and governance) initiatives, on over $ 2Bi/year in spend.
You will also be responsible for leading, developing and inspiring a team of high potential Category Leads in the Global Procurement function as well as leading indirect reports in each of our operating regions around the world – ensuring that category results are delivered in the short term, while being set for success in the long term.
This role serves as an experienced lead negotiator for the highest-value and most complex vendor agreements and is responsible for cultivating strong supplier relationships and strong internal stake holder management.
Creation of a Global Category Strategies, Strategic Sourcing, considering the process of selecting vendors, establishing payment terms, strategic vetting, selection, support and collaboration on the negotiation of contracts.
Ensure the delivery of results in key performance areas including cost management, market & financial forecast accuracy, cash performance, service & quality, process improvements, innovation, and alignment with our internal business partners.
Understand regional stakeholder requirements and define, develop and implement the optimal strategy for Kraft Heinz that delivers regional and global objectives.
Ensure the global supplier base is capable of supplying Kraft Heinz expectations in relationships to Quality, Service and Innovation and develop contingency strategies as required.
Manage and develop strategic supplier relationships, acting as the primary interface on behalf of Kraft Heinz to key category suppliers.
Drive value creation by implementing best practices and balancing innovation and capability building with managing costs.
Lead specific projects to increase the effectiveness of the global category team.
Continuously review industry and peer best practices; educate our organization about them; and develop plans to implement those that provide a competitive advantage to Kraft Heinz.
Bachelor’s degree required (supply chain, engineering, management or business/finance preferred), MBA and/or CPM/CPSM preferred.
Minimum 10-12 Years’ of strong procurement and strategic sourcing experience in fast-paced, highly analytical environments required
Experience leading a procurement function with 500MM USD or greater in annual spend.
Must possess solid interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills.
Excellent project management skills required.
Risk management skill set required to drive innovative solutions and problem-solving analysis and resolution.
Core competencies should include supplier relationship and risk management, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation (including contract life-cycle management, and RFP creation) and spend analysis
