Are you a creative, engaging and driven Geotechnical Advisor who is curious about pile handling and the interactions between equipment, foundation and soil? We are looking for a passionate professional to join IHC IQIP in Sliedrecht!
You’ll be joining a small dedicated team which gives advice on all the aspects of foundation installation. Your focus will be on applied earth sciences and “geo technique”, including the combination pile handling, interactions between equipment, foundation and soil. You will not just be an engineering team member, but also handle client consultancy assignments, which will require occasional travel. Our clientele comes from the offshore wind, oil and gas, coastal and civil engineering markets.
You will be responsible for:
Providing advise on geotechnical engineering aspects of foundation installation for IHC IQIP's Clients in the offshore wind, oil and gas and civil markets.
The focus in this role is on performing driveability analyses for IHC IQIP Clients. You will analyse geotechnical data (factual reports, CPT data, borehole loggings etc.), model the local soil conditions according to the data, select the appropriate hammer for the job, perform driveability calculations, advise on noise mitigation in Client's projects (airborne noise, underwater noise), report and present the results to the Client and engage in technical discussions.
Next to the daily work of handling driveability studies, you will be engaged in a number of R&D activities, supporting the technology and knowledge development roadmap of IHC IQIP with specialist geotechnical knowledge.
You will be closely cooperating with IHC IQIP's sales team, R&D team and our Client's geotechnical experts, which requires a good balance between technical and commercial skills.
A finished degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering (soil mechanics, foundations), Offshore Engineering or comparable.
A working experience in foundation installation, civil construction or offshore engineering industries.
We are looking for a candidate who is at best when working on technical challenges that require a sound engineering judgement balanced with a commercial mindset. You have a strong opinion, based on facts and expertise, which you can defend in a respectful and convincing manner.
Experience with driveability software (GRL WEAP, Allwave-PDP or comparable) or willing to learn. Proficiency in technical reporting.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Matlab or Python for handling large datasets is a pre.
The salary range for the function depending on experience and seniority ranges between EUR 3100 and 4600 gross, for full time work.
