As Full Stack Software Engineer you must have the below skillset:
You have a strong understanding of microservices and cloud native technology, and you have experience with designing and creating the architecture of new platforms from scratch.
Full stack development, we expect you to be tech agnostic. You should feel comfortable working with a variety of technologies, like NodeJS and Java
API developer – API 1st mindset, REST API design
You have experience with micro frontends
You have a good understanding and working experience with frameworks like React or VueJS
You have experience with automation, continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment
Because you will be creating a new platform which involves a lot of collaborations with other teams, we expect you to be good at stakeholder management and good at integrating with other projects.
Nice to have skills:
Good understanding of DevOps
Cloud-native Application Development on GCP
Experience with Security testing
Experience with Secret management
Experience working with CIAM, OAuth2 and OIDC solutions
You have a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science or equivalent degree and you have excellent English communication skills.
ABOUT THIS WORK AREA
At Rewards & Loyalty we build, refine and maintain digital products that deal with customer information and marketing communication. In the Rewards & Loyalty teams we will be building new platforms and products providing the API’s, backend and frontend to improve the customer journey. Our rewards and loyalty products will be integrated within a lot of different areas in IKEA, therefore it is important that we do this right from the beginning and that we build a platform with a good technical architecture and foundation.
As Full Stack Software Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
Contributing to a team on the development of a new platform for Rewards & Loyalty
Stakeholder management and continuous collaboration with related teams. This consists of API integrations from other teams, and helping other teams implement our platform’s API’s. This will be an intense collaboration which we expect you to lead.
Setting up the frontend solution and architecture for this new product from scratch, in close collaboration with the other software engineers
being responsible for the development of high quality (software) code which has been tested and is ready to be shipped
working in agile teams in across the capability areas, contributing to the development and maintenance of products and solutions
applying and adhere to good practice software engineering practices (e.g. DRY principles, TDD and BDD, continuous integration, automated tests, pair programming, code reviews) within an agile/iterative development approach
providing support and guidance as needed to other developers within the development team encouraging good practices
contributing to the continuous development of standards against which software development should take place as well as exploring and bring in new technologies to boost innovation and development productivity
working closely together with other software engineers and cross functions to meet design requirements and ensure that digital solutions work together and fulfil business needs
