As a Fleet Project Manager you are part of Fleet Services, the in-house ship manager for Fugro. In this role you are dedicated to different projects. You are responsible for the set up and role out of IMO Cyber Security requirement on board, which integrates marine, technical and project requirements. You lead a small team of professionals working together to embed Cyber Security in our maritime organisation.
You manage the assigned projects and your are responsible that these are executed in time, on budget and according to specifications. This includes project preparation, scope documentation, planning, execution, closure and lessons learned;
You ensure both effective and efficient execution of agreed work in such a way that the QHSE, technical, commercial and contractual requirements are met;
You lead a project team and strive to achieve optimal balance between cost, time and quality and between cost, benefit and risk on projects of medium complexity;
You support projects of higher complexity if required;
You make sure projects are executed in line with quality procedures and provide input in improving quality procedures;
You are responsible for system integration and implementation being compliant with international legislative/regulatory requirements.
Your track record
You have a Bachelor degree with a marine background;
You have 3+ years working experience and previous management experience;
You have a strong client awareness, know how to build strong relationships and are experienced with supporting both internal and external clients;
You have a passion for success, you strive for operational excellence and actively focus on achieving sustainable results;
You take ownership and initiative, acting with confidence, with the ability to make prompt and clear decisions, which may involve tough choices or considered risk;
You have excellent communication and reporting skills in English (verbal and written).
