    Job Description: Field Service Manager Chromatography.

    The Field Service function manages, installs and repairs all our instrumentation across the businesses, and supports customer sites as needed. Our customers rely on the expertise of our field service professionals to keep their instruments up and running, enabling them to focus on their critical research and other essential business activities.
    Within Thermo Fisher Scientific we are looking for a new Field Service Manager to join our Unity Lab Services team to manage a group of highly educated and motivated engineers in the field of Chromatography.

    Your responsibilities:
    • Manage a team of approximately 15 engineers (Belgium and Netherlands)
    • Focus on our Service Business and work closely together with our Sales and Service colleagues to optimize our revenues.
    • Always ensure highest professional relationship with our customer base to achieve customer loyalty, escalate issues if necessary and to solve critical tasks in the fastest way possible.
    • Manage our internal KPI’s to create the highest efficiency and output to fulfill our customers’ and internal requirements.
    • Internal communication with:
      • Sales for technical advice and tuning (after)sales activities.
      • Internal colleagues about the progress of work and/or internal repairs.
      • Service support/service administration about the activities, planning and administration.
    • External communication:
      • With customers about the implementation of the work, the planning and the service pricing for the existing installation and products, to advise, support and to provide information.
      • Manage customer escalations.
    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
    • Professional background in Electronics/Chemistry/Engineering.
    • Management experience or the ambition to develop your career in managing a team of professionals.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to work across all levels, functions and regions.
    • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks with different priorities.
    • Excellent inter-personal, self-motivational and negotiating skills.
    Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
    • Driving License
    • Willingness to travel mainly within the appointed region (Benelux) but occasionally as well through Europe.
    • Good Dutch and English skills, both verbal and written. French language skills are a pré.

    You work from mainly our office in Breda and work closely together with the Field Service Manager Trace Elemental/Molecular and the Senior Field Service manager.
