The Global Sponsorships and Events function in the marketing department is responsible for the successful delivery of our company wide event portfolio at Booking.com - this portfolio includes customer, partner, industry, employer & employee events. This function is responsible for both the delivery of our hero sponsorships and events as well as supporting the business to execute targeted sponsorships and events through self service playbooks and resources.
The Event Producer will be part of our event production craft and is responsible for the production and delivery of some of the most significant sponsorship and event productions - as well as a library of self service playbooks & resources.
This role executes the very best event/experiential productions and projects either as a contributing team member or in the role as lead. They work in partnership internally and externally to translate strategy and business need into exciting production propositions seeing that through to the very best events delivery.
To be successful Event Producers should have passion for collaboration, innovation, strong communication skills and exceptional team-work. They create structure and order to complex event production topics having a keen eye for storytelling, creative positioning and interesting experiences to build a truly immersive, engaging product for the audiences. This means knowing how to partner with people to get the best out of them (cast, crew, internal & external talent) as well as advocating for the audience and knowing when to add and edit.
This role is focused on producing the very best digital & broadcast experiences - whether consumed live or on-demand enabling the effective landing of key messages & brand experiences. Production ranges from landing complex global broadcast events through to enabling better quality live & on-demand experiences in a self service setup. This role requires someone who is well versed at understanding the intersection of digital storytelling, broadcast technology & online experience creation.
Manage the delivery of high profile events / event elements
Work on a wide range of event programs, using experience and learnings to translate the strategy & creative idea into execution & high quality productions;
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create, deliver and influence event plans that addresses business needs;
Create and nurture strong working relationships across the organization to provide strategic recommendations and insights; work with teams for content development and strategy, event execution and follow-up;
Manage project plans, budgets, deliverables to ensure that events are delivered with maximum effectiveness - on target, on quality & on time.
Build and deploy self service event playbooks
Translate knowledge from event production into relevant self service event kits & resources that can be used for the longtail event portfolio.
Use influence and education as a tool to help others deliver solid events using self service event kits & resources.
Maintain our self service library ensuring that it is reliable and relatable - easy for anyone to pick up and implement with visible results.
Innovate event formats in order to effectively convey messages with high engagement levels.
Continuously work to provide innovative production solutions to the strategic requests, partner with the strategy team to turn those into high quality pitches
Land great quality event pitches with stakeholders, demonstrating new compelling ways to maximise audience engagement levels while landing a message.
Be a thought leader within the team, brainstorm with others on new engaging formats and approaches.
Use data and insights as the basis for innovating events, demonstrate clear connection between tactics and impact in all work.
Manage all relevant partnerships to deliver successful events.
Work as part of an event team (whether in the lead or participating) setting that team up for success and making it a fun engaging team to deliver an event.
Actively partner in complex setups, making clear roles & responsibilities while also supporting other areas (e.g. creative & operations) to also be successful.
Manage vendors and budgets including the management of these vendors across planning, delivery and quality - be able to be a point of contact for them and steer them for success.
A minimum of 10+ years in a multinational e-commerce platform company.
Strong experience in working in a headquarters role in a company with a global footprint.
Extensive and high quality digital/broadcast events portfolio demonstrating the high quality delivery of complex global broadcast or digital events & experiential;
A proven communicator with strong interpersonal and influence skills including working with senior executives.
Very organized, able to create and follow project plans
Able to manage own time and juggle multiple priorities
Demonstrated ability to deliver in a high pressure environment that can include long hours.
Familiar with the Amsterdam digital event & entertainment base as well as event industry trends
Proven ability to innovate digital & broadcast event formats including working with executive speakers in order to effectively convey messages with high engagement levels.
Good collaboration and influencing skills; able to build relationships, resolve conflicts and work successfully with a variety of personalities and across geographies
Culturally savvy and keen to immerse in Booking.com’s culture and subcultures to understand the community and make the best impact
Understands event technology and has examples of using this to deliver extremely high quality events.
