    Job Description Summary: The Benelux & Ireland Team is responsible to strategically manage and sell into the markets’ large merchants. We are both selling into new and existing customers. The portfolio consists of the top 100 merchants in Benelux and Ireland in a large variety of industries. In the partnership discussions with these merchants, we discuss which PayPal solutions can support their growth. We sell the full range of our PayPal Commerce Platform products, i.e. our branded PayPal wallet products but also our credit card processing capabilities as well as our Hyperwallet, Zettle and Honey products. Our team consists of 6 sales in Amsterdam and Dublin.

    Job Description:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support the team and leader across a broad range of activities, including supporting strategic initiative development, opportunity analysis, pain point resolution and sales enablement.

    • Track & monitor Top100 merchant’s trends

    • Convert business questions into problems for data analyses and come up with actionable insights to impact growth

    • Support with market analysis the definition of initiatives to positively impact the trajectory of the portfolio

    • Work with internal stakeholders to design, estimate potential benefit and execute new/existing verticals and business expansion, with a specific focus on start-ups/fintech ecosystem

    • Communicate concepts and results with clear and effective visualization (e.g. Excel Charts and PowerPoint slides)

    • Work closely with the other PayPal functions who shape our merchant experience, including Professional Service, Marketing, Legal and Finance

    Key qualities we are looking for:

    • Be hungry to learn and be challenged, creative, reliable, energetic, results focused with a can-do attitude.

    • Interested in the strategic, marketing and financial aspects of businesses.

    • Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal

    • Use data, insights and logic to deconstruct problems to identify the source and propose solutions

    • Highly organized, attention to detail and follow-through. Should enjoy problem solving, fixing processes and a desire to be a customer champion.

    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.


    • Currently enrolled at university for a Masters degree in a business / commercial or related subject.

    • English proficiency.

    • Available to start sometime between July – September 2021.

    • Available for 6 months.
