Senior Electronics Engineer Image Acquisition and Detection

Participate as Senior Electronics Engineer in Image and detector development projects within Thermofisher’s and with partners, focused on one of Thermofisher ’s product platform. The project responsibilities are multi-disciplinary, including:
Translate system and module requirements into electronics requirements of image acquisition and detector modules. Prepare and prototype design concepts of electronics for Image acquisition and detection modules.
Development of concepts and deployment of specifications to suppliers. During development provide technical support and guidance to suppliers.
Verification, acceptance and troubleshooting of components developed by the supplier.
Working in multi-disciplinary teams for product realization, a.o. initial alignment of specifications with architects, mechanical and software engineers, Later on integration of the module into the system.
Work with management to ensure a robust platform and development process. Promote the re-use of components and designs between product lines. Advice management to increase innovation and development efficiency with suppliers.
Work with Operations and service from the early stage of each development to take both manufacturing and service requirements into account in specification and design. Ensures sustainability of existing products. Resolves end of life issues in close cooperation with suppliers. In case of customer escalations support service to resolve field issues.
Travel as necessary to fulfill job requirements. (Travel
Typically requires a University Degree in electronics and approximately 5 years of experience. Areas of competence low noise electronics, high speed analogue and digital design.
Ability to work in complex engineering programs and to understand the technology included our products. Experience with low volume – high mix product series
Proven experience in module developments, including defining architecture, module design, integration, verification, error budgeting, and analysis.
Experience in development of several products from concept to final product into the market and maintenance. Ability to analyze how key sub systems can be used in next generation products.
Experience with requirement management and test tools and Python is a plus.
Knowledge about image sensors, detector technologies, image processing and image acquisition is a preference.
Self-propelling with respect to demonstrating feasibility, organizing prototypes and integration of module into the system. Takes ownership and is entrepreneurial.
