    Email Marketer

    Grow email marketing into a key revenue-generating channel.

    Your mission

    As our email marketer, you will fulfil a crucial role in setting up and scaling email marketing and turning it into a key revenue-generating channel. Your main priority will be to increase the conversion rates higher up in the funnel (lead to MQL/SQL conversion) to make sure we get the most out of our incoming leads.

    About the team

    The marketing team's mission is to build the Recruitee brand (= telling the story) & to drive revenue (= generating demand). The team consists of 20+ people divided into different subteams — Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, Creative, Brand Marketing, Content Marketing, and SEO. Currently, the marketing team brings in about 98% of all our leads, MQLs, and SQLs, making us a very impactful team at Recruitee.

    You’ll be part of the growth team with our Head of Growth and two Growth Marketers. You will work closely with the content marketing team and product marketing team to make sure that you know what types of content you can use in your email campaigns. There will also be a close collaboration with the operations team to make sure that everything is set up correctly in Hubspot.

    Your 12-month journey

    In your first three months, you’ll spend most of your time learning everything about Recruitee, the marketing team, the setup of our Hubspot account, and analyzing our database. You’ll be getting an understanding of our product, our target audience, the marketing metrics, and the lifecycle stages of our leads. Moreover, you’ll have a good understanding of our content marketing and product marketing strategy. You’ll also start working on a strategy for email marketing, mapping lead sources, and building your first email lists and email flows for lead nurturing.

    After 6 months, you will have built out email flows for our current lead sources for the English speaking markets and will be working on expanding these to the DACH market. Your main tasks now will be about expanding the flows and optimizing and experimenting with them. You will also work with the growth team to find more ways of getting leads into the system.

    After 12 months, you have mastered this role and will work on scaling our email marketing efforts. By then, we will have email flows in both English and German, a proven strategy for generating and nurturing email leads, as well as converting them into SQLs. At this point, we’ll start planning ahead on how to expand email marketing to other parts of the funnel.

    What you’ll do

    • Create an email marketing strategy to increase the lead to SQL conversions

    • Building and segmenting email lists

    • Create email flows in Hubspot

    • Tracking and analyzing campaign results

    • Write and design compelling emails

    • Continuously optimize emails and email flows for conversion

    • Make sure the design and layouts of emails are optimized, user and mobile-friendly

    • Map out lead sources and make sure all lead sources have the right email flows attached to them

    • Conduct experiments with email subject lines and email content to increase conversion rates

    • Work with the operations team to make sure our Hubspot database is clean and well-maintained

    • Work closely with the content and product marketing to make sure that the right content is distributed to the right people via email and to make sure that any new lead sources (like new downloadables or webinars) have email flows attached to them

    • Work with the growth team to grow the number of leads through experiments and ads


    Job requirements

    What you’ll bring to the team

    • 3+ years of experience in email marketing

    • Fluency in English

    • Strong email copywriting skills

    • Experience with Hubspot

    • Know-how on how to create great email flows that’ll convert our leads into customers

    • Strong communication and collaboration skills

    • Strong level of ownership to lead projects

    • Comfortable working in an environment where you are given a high degree of autonomy

    • Self-starter/entrepreneurial mindset to come up with ideas and experiment with them
