Team Tumbleweed is an international team of young scientists & engineers designing the next generation of Mars Rovers and we are currently looking for new Electrical Engineers in various roles.
We are currently in the starting meters of a long road to Mars and are thus unable to pay wage as of now although this is definitely a future we have set our eyes on. Until then we hope for motivated people who share our vision of a Mars for everyone.
Our Electrical Development Team is concerned with the conceptualization and development of the electrical system on the Tumbleweed rover. This work includes designing as well as simulating the electrical system and its subsystems that should end up in the final space grade version of the rover. The examination and integration of suitable solutions requires the applicant to demonstrate insight into the development of electrical systems and willingness to learn in a team.
Experience and skills in at least one of the following areas is required:
Antenna design, simulation & testing, preferably in UHF bandwidth
RF engineering for wireless communications hardware
Signal processing, more specifically coding techniques, preferably for space applications
Wired communications, physical & data link layer, more specifically bus topologies
Furthermore, Experience and skills in some of the following areas is desirable:
Designing highly reliable electric and electronic systems
Required: Excellent written & spoken english, in particular writing technical documentation. Strongly desirable: located in Delft
