As EHS Process Safety Expert, the main purpose of your job will be to execute compliance activities, procedures Teva and EHS standards and programs to meet safety regulations.
This role will be responsible for the manufacturing and lab processes that are both highly technical and include high hazard activities. The safety expert will innovate and evolve a sustainable approach to develop process safety. This in close collaboration with operation, engineering and the internal EHS-team of specialists.
Observes and chronicles individuals’ typical behaviors and procedures to determine if these practices are safe for the individual for the company as a whole and identifies potential safety hazards in operations and reports the findings.
Develop strategies or a plan of action to safely deal with safety issues and examine the operations of the site as a whole and determine if the site is environmentally friendly and if certain standards are being met.
Perform coordinate of participate in hazard reviews, risk analysis, HAZOP and root cause analysis.
Develop and execute EHS Standards, Programs and Work Instructions. This will include participating in field EHS reviews, HAZOP’s audits, incident investigations and performing root cause analysis with the implementation of corrective actions to prevent / reduce deviations for the purpose of sustainable operations on site.
Drive and support initiatives for continuous improvement in EHS performance and culture through training initiatives, EHS awareness and communications and identifying opportunities to improve operating efficiency.
Resolve internal issues as member of EHS team and safety committees and by sharing expertise with management and employees.
EHS experience within manufacturing / pharmaceutical industry preferred.
Knowledge of EHS Regulations, permits, enforcement and industry practice relevant to pharmaceutical (chemical) industry.
HBO + Level education with HVK Background is a must.
3 years’ minimum experience in implementing a sustainable safety culture.
Knowledge of EHS Management systems
Knowledge of Process Safety Management / Machines
Process hazard evaluation techniques
Fluent language proficiency in Dutch & English
Proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude.
