    Documentation Specialist

    Our Documentation Specialist - Knowledge Owner for the Companion Animal Group (CAG) CS Process Analysis team, you will act as a knowledge owner/technical writer for CAG Customer and Technical Support knowledge content. This includes workflow-based troubleshooting, how-to’s and general product FAQs. You will also act as a CAG Customer and Technical Support point of contact in efforts to assess proposed workflow and knowledge content changes with necessary stakeholders to recommend the best path forward.

    We are hiring for our Documentation Specialist – Knowledge Owner team with a start date of May 3, 2021.

    In the role of Documentation Specialist-Knowledge Owner

      You will expect to collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders, including Marketing, Technical/Product experts, and other SMEs.
      You may participate in a variety of meetings and projects to appropriately capture knowledge needs.
      You may be involved researching proposed workflows and business procedures to make recommended changes and gaining alignment from appropriate parties to implement changes.

    What You Need to Succeed

      You will define and understand the technical scope and objectives of the knowledge content assignments; assists the subject matter experts (SMEs)/business process owner in defining expectations; anticipates and consistently meets/exceeds objectives and scheduled deliverables.
      You will work closely with SMEs, business process owners and user community to clarify information, resolve issues, discuss usability and improve knowledge content deliverables.
      You may be required to research and solicit feedback from other stakeholders when creating and revising knowledge content.
      You will manage assigned projects from request through publication with minimal supervision.
      You will analyze and comprehend new or unfamiliar systems, processes, and terminology
      You will employ understanding of product, users, and industry to improve knowledge content over time
      You will be a change agent in recommending solutions to improve quality, procedures, training and coaching initiatives
      You will analyze and assess knowledge content and recommends improvements to stakeholders to ensure quality, readability, usability and integrity of published knowledge content.
      You will implement continuous improvements to technical knowledge content to address the needs of users and stakeholders for accuracy, clarity, consistency and overall quality.
      You will demonstrate the ability to effectively collaborate with groups both internal/external to Customer and Technical Support.
      You will have 2+ years of experience with creating or updating knowledge documentation

    Shift Information/Travel:

      Monday-Friday- 8-5pm, overtime as needed.
