    Documentalist (temporary)

    Key Tasks and Responsibilities

    As part of the Navigation Directorate’s Documentation and Configuration Management System at ESTEC, you will have the responsibility of the operations, maintenance and evolutions of the Documentation Management System (DMS), including processes and the use of supporting electronic documentation management tool, with the following typical tasks:

    • Regular review of the status of documents in the different archives and where appropriate register this information in the DMS database;
    • Document registration, distribution and archiving, as well as provision of reproduction services;
    • Process configuration-controlled document changes and official papers relevant to the activities of the unit;
    • Supporting users in retrieving documents from local DMS, DMS’s from external partners and/or industry, paper archives, ESTEC library, scanned documents on CD-ROM or via Internet, etc;
    • Provision of paper copies of electronic documents on request, creation of electronic versions of documents;
    • Liaising with industrial partner’s CADM officers and documentalists for exchanging data and resolving documentation and configuration related issues.

    Skills & Experience

    You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

    • University degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration;
    • At least 4 years relevant work experience in the domain of Document Management;
    • Highly proficient in the use of modern activities and resource management support tools/databases of standard office automation support software packages including in particular advance usage of Excel (Ms-Office and in particular advanced use of Excel);
    • Ability to get the Security Clearance;
    • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.

    This job is located in Noordwijk. It’s a 3 months contract with a possibility of prolongation starting asap.
