    Director, Strategic Alliances, EMEA

    The ideal Strategic Alliance Director has 5+ years of GSI alliance experience in EMEA – building and executing strategic partnerships. They must also be technically inclined and naturally curious to learn about Mendix’s portfolio.
    The ideal candidate also understands deal structure and deal flow. They know how to write business plans and are comfortable with holding people accountable. They have worked in, understand and can operate in a Matrix Organization. ; “Influencing without authority” is key, they must be able to align cross-functional resources within Mendix as well as manage the same within the Strategic Alliance Partner they support.
    This role will require a mixture of sales, strategy, relationship building & enablement, and driving executive alignment. Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Alliances, the Strategic Alliance Director will own the global relationships with their assigned Strategic Partner. They will help navigate and network through their assigned Strategic Partner and be responsible for the creation of joint GTM plans to drive incremental revenue for Mendix. They will also be closely involved with supporting their partner in sales cycles. This is a high visibility role with the potential for massive impact in a hyper-growth tech startup.

    Responsibilities:

    • Recruit, build and execute strategic partnerships with the world's largest global systems integrators (GSIs) such as Accenture, Capgemini, Deloitte, TCS, Wipro etc.
    • Work with senior stakeholders within the GSI to develop a joint strategy and plan that includes enablement, co-selling, and Go-To-Market motion
    • Work with GSI team members in other geographies to develop and leverage global GTM plan incorporating EMEA needs
    • Set and achieve global partnership goals, including an assigned sales quota of revenue co-sold with GSI firms
    • Build trusted, effective working relationships with GSI stakeholders and executives
    • Identify, recruit and onboard new groups and teams within existing GSI partners through a blend of outbound and inbound outreach
    • Collaborate with Mendix cross functional teams to deliver exceptional partner experience to GSIs - including partner marketing and partner delivery
    • Collaborate with Siemens alliance counterparts and sales executives to support GSI partner activity and sales cycles in the manufacturing sector

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 8-10 years of total experience in sales, business development or partnership management preferably for a SaaS technology company or GSI
    • 5+ years channel sales or GSI alliance experience in EMEA, preferably from within a SaaS company with accountability for revenue targets - team leadership experience a plus
    • Willing to travel as needed - 20-30% travel
    • Ability to navigate large organizations and build champions, externally within GSI partner firms and internally across Mendix/Siemens
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrated technical aptitude with passion to learn about Mendix technology and low code development market
    • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce.com
