    Director of Sales

    IHCP is the company leading the Renaissance Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Hotel, Moxy Amsterdam Airport, Mercure Amersfoort Centre and the Moxy/Residence Inn The Hague which will open in August of 2022! Our hotels are franchisee-owned and operated under the wings of Accor and Marriott International. We are a growing Hotel Management company that is now looking to expand their Commercial team with a DIRECTOR OF SALES!
    As Director of Sales you are part of an energetic and creative team. You proactively develop and maintain the relationship with our key clients to maximize their travel to our hotels. You are responsible for your personal and team related revenue goals and manage the tools to ensure all reservation methods are in place. You are the lead of the commercial team! Our Sales Managers in our hotels will be lead, guided and triggered by your exceptional commercial skills and experience. At the moment, our Sales team consists out of 3 Sales Managers located in our different hotels. Next to Sales, Marketing is also a topic that will be your responsibility – show us your creativity in exposing our hotels as good as possible! We are looking for a Sales Director who is acting in the field, has a hands on mentality and has the right mindset! For us the a Sales person should always ask the question of why a client has not booked with us but with the competition and then act upon changing this for the future.

    Your day will consist of:
    • Develop and implement an annual sales plan, in conjunction with the Revenue Team and General Managers to source, drive and grow revenue across all segments. Constantly monitor results and adjust strategies and activities to make sure we’re meeting our objectives and targets
    • Manage and lead your team, from recruitment and induction through to team development, encouraging a highly proactive and high performing environment that ultimately allows the team to deliver on our objectives.
    • Maintain an excellent level of knowledge of the local marketplace in Amsterdam, Schiphol, Amersfoort and The Hague, in addition to maintaining a good level of knowledge for each location of our hotels
    • Plan and manage the RFP season and rate negotiations for all IHCP hotels, liaising with the Revenue Management team and General Managers where necessary
    • Collaborate with key teams (e.g. B&F, Banqueting, Events, Revenue and General Managers) to ensure key information & insights are shared and we’re effectively working together towards great revenue results.
    • Utilize responsible reports to review market penetration, grow market share and prospect new business opportunities
    • Drive new business prospecting activities for IHCP across Corporate, Group and MICE segments. Ensure local actions are in place to research and identify opportunities for new business in line with hotel’s strategies
    • Monitor conversion rate of Group and M&E enquiries and implement actions where necessary to increase conversion
    • Represent IHCP at relevant industry networking events and organize client entertainment, show rounds, familiarization trips and sales trips to ensure sales targets are met
    • Support with pre-opening sales strategies for new openings where relevant
    • Manage our Sales Managers in maintaining and leading key customer relationships and negotiate preferred partnerships – guide your team and assist them where needed
    • Build and update database across targeted industries and manage these accounts
    • creating, managing and executing strategic sales action plan
    • making sure that all sales activities are maximized to drive business into our hotels
    • Come up with creative ideas on how to target new customers. Be the lead of the team to execute these ideas
    • Using in-depth knowledge of local market trends and analyzing customer information to maximize revenue
    • Being responsible for achieving the business targets as set by the company
    • Provide excellent customer service
    • Being the go to person for our Sales Managers
