    Director, Business Development Life Sciences / MedTech

    EPAM is hiring a Business Development Director focused on the Life Sciences / MedTech industry, to be based in Netherlands. You will be responsible for developing and managing business development and sales activities for MedTech working closely with the larger European Sales team and EPAM Continuum - Integrated Consulting brand of EPAM which creates new-to-the-world experiences by skillfully engaging the talents of more than 400 professionals with diverse, multi-disciplinary experiences, including architects, brand strategists, business strategists, economists, psychologists, electrical, mechanical and software engineers, and designers from areas such as strategy, industrial, interaction and service design

    This is a very entrepreneurial role and will involve close collaboration with technical teams based in Eastern Europe and onshore.

    You will have experience working with selling professional services into the MedTech industry, possess exceptional communication, EQ, analytical and problem-solving skills and be comfortable interacting with all levels, including Executive Management, Engineering, Product, Finance, and Marketing leaders and colleagues. We are seeking a self-starter who is highly collaborative and has experience working in a BD role in an Engineering / Consultancy company with a strong understanding of the current trends and transformation needs of the markets.

    You will understand the nuances associated with the latest platforms, connected medical devices, digital ecosystems, architectures, and technologies along with how they align with EPAMs capabilities to deliver strategic solutions to our clients.     You will focus on driving cross platform sales from prospecting through bid closing; developing new relationships and driving continued growth of EPAM’s engagements.


    • Develop a BD plan and strategy and lead cross-functional execution against defined business milestones and metrics
    • Successfully sell end-to-end Product Engineering and IT Solutions and Services via a solution-selling or consultative-selling approach that delivers the Sales Revenue Targets
    • Build and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities across clients in your portfolio
    • Record all client facing activities in CRM, clearly and punctually
    • Develop deep knowledge and expertise around EPAM’s solutions and go to market strategies
    • Oversee preparation of business' value propositions, sales plans, RFPs/RFQs/ RFIs
    • Collaborate with key EPAM partners to effectively position EPAM services and drive an increased number of opportunities from the channel
    • EPAM Systems reserves the right to amend the responsibilities from time to time


    • You have sold IT consultancy and IT services into Lifesciences / MedTech industry in Netherlands and wider EU; an ideal candidate will have proven network and a track record of identifying and selling end to end services to the client base
    • You have experience in working with R&D departments of MedTech companies
    • A team-oriented mindset and the ability to work with a wide range of individuals
    • Prior experience with and comfort operating in a very entrepreneurial environment where you had little direction, high ambiguity, and had to define goals and generate results
    • Amazing client management, business communication and relationship building skills
    • Strong intellectual curiosity, and an ability to synthesize large amounts of technical information and to quickly become externally credible in a new, complex subject area
    • Strong project management and organizational skills and detail orientation
    • Proven ability to close deals under pressure to successful completion
    • Sound business acumen; strategic skills; common sense
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • English a must, Dutch is a strong plus
    • Ability to travel
